Trump’s Tax Returns: The Next Artificial Scandal?

It’s amazing that the HillBillies were disrobed in public years ago for operating what former federal prosecutor Joseph diGenova has referred to as “the biggest criminal conspiracy in American political history,” yet not only have they not been prosecuted, there has never even been a grand jury empaneled to examine the mountain of evidence against them.

After all, dirty-cop (Joseph diGenova’s words) James Comey, Director of the FBI, read a laundry list of Hillary’s crimes to a national television audience, then, to everyone’s astonishment, magically concluded that “no reasonable person could determine that there was an intent on her part to break the law.” Really?

Having an unsecured server set up in your basement doesn’t show intent? Deleting tens of thousands of emails doesn’t show intent? “Bleaching” her server so no emails could be retrieved doesn’t show intent? Having your surrogates smash 13 Blackberries with hammers doesn’t show intent?

And, of course, there was Loretta Lynch, who refused to recuse herself from handling Horrible Hillary’s case even though she secretly met with Bubba aboard her private plane on the tarmac in Phoenix just a few days before Comey informed the public of his findings. And let’s not forget that her predecessor, Eric Holder, lied under oath, but heard nary a peep from weak-kneed Republicans about his criminal behavior.

Or Obama’s IRS Commissioner John Koskinen’s getting away with allowing key evidence in the IRS scandal to be destroyed, then misleading Congress about it. And his underling, Lois (mad dog) Lerner, getting off scot free after targeting conservative groups and employing the Dirty Dems’ favorite tactic — having her emails destroyed.

And you wonder why voters revolted in 2016?

But it’s about to get worse — much worse. We’re entering uncharted waters with the world’s most famous community organizer setting up the country’s first officially recognized, unelected government (the “Obama Revolutionary Shadow Government”). It’s a 100 percent certainty that the Obama Revolutionary Shadow Government will be creating wild conspiracy theories at a furious pace in an effort to continue throwing roadblocks in front of Trump and his cabinet. The Dirty Dems excel not at carrying out the wishes of their constituents, but in creating conspiracies to destroy their opponents.

I’m guessing that one of the first things The Obama Revolutionary Shadow Government will focus on is Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns. At least, I’m hoping that will be the case. The reason I would welcome it is because, while I have no inside information about this issue, it seems to me there could only be two reasons why Trump doesn’t want his tax returns made public, and both of them are irrelevant.

The first possibility is that he may have given very little to charity, and he knows the Dirty Dems would pounce on that even though it has no bearing on his ability to govern the country. (Of course, based on what we know about Trump’s track record, it’s far more likely he has been more charitable than most.)

The second possibility is far more likely: Perhaps he doesn’t want to make his tax returns public because he may have paid little or no taxes. And if that be the case, I say good for him.

To his credit, during his campaign he made it clear that he takes advantage of every possible part of the tax code in order to pay as little taxes as possible. Doesn’t everybody? As he pointed out at the time, if anyone objects to his or anyone else’s deductions, the solution is to try to get Congress to change the tax laws. End of story.

If you really wanted to stretch it, I guess there might be one other possible reason the Radical Left could offer as to why Trump wouldn’t want to show his tax returns: tax fraud. Which sounds nice, but the fact is that Trump is audited every year. That being the case, if he were guilty of tax evasion or anything else of a criminal nature, he would have been prosecuted by now and would not have been able to run for president. Again, end of story.

So if I were Trump, when the question is raised again, what I would say, on national television, is something along the following lines:

“The Democrats want me to release my tax returns, which, by the way, the law does not require me to do. I have declined, because all amounts to is another fishing expedition. And oh — by the way — in all fairness, I should also point out that it’s just as true that it’s not against the law for a president to keep his college records sealed, though it is certainly quite unusual.

I would therefore like to make the following offer to the American people: I will release all my tax returns if Barack Obama simultaneously orders the unsealing of his all college records.”

Oops — there go Granny Pelosi’s dentures again, this time crashing to the floor. To put it mildly, Democrats would go ballistic. But why, pray tell? What’s the big deal about a president (now ex-president) releasing his college records? Isn’t he proud of his college achievements?

The point is that we have a pretty good idea as to why Trump is unwilling to release his tax returns, and, as discussed above, it’s unlikely to reveal anything improper. But what about Obama’s sealed college records? Doesn’t the same question apply? Why has he steadfastly refused to release his college records? What could those records contain that could be so bad, so embarrassing, or so illegal that he has refused to subject them to public scrutiny?”

Personally, I can think of only two possible reasons for Obama’s secrecy. One is that his records contain numerous anti-American essays or diatribes that he wrote as a student. The other, and more likely, possibility is that his records reveal that he was enrolled at Occidental, Columbia, or/or Harvard as a foreign-exchange student.

If I had to bet the farm, I would have to go with both, but with a heavier emphasis on the foreign-exchange-student angle. If you can think of another serious reason for Obama’s resistance to making his college records public, I’d love to hear what it is.

In the meantime, until someone (preferably the president of the United States) is willing to aggressively challenge the president of the Obama Revolutionary Shadow Government, I don’t want to hear any more nonsense about Jeff Sessions and wild, nonfactual Russian conspiracy theories from the Radical Left.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, hardly a right-wing conservative, summed it up clearly when he said that not only did Jeff Sessions not commit perjury, as the Dirty Dems claim he did, but that “It isn’t even close.” He went on to say that in order to have a special counsel, you have to “articulate what it is that they’re investigating.” And the fact that some guy in Russia may have hacked into U.S. computers does not in any way so much as even imply a criminal act by anyone in the United States. It’s all an exercise in diversion.

Given the never-ending criminal acts and cover-ups by the Dirty Dems, I find their manufactured scandals about Trump and his team to be difficult to stomach. I don’t know about you, but I can’t watch any more of this sinister nonsense about Boy Scout Jeff Sessions’ secret collusion with the Russians. It’s disappointing that even Fox News can’t resist obsessing over what appears to be a nonstory that is completely devoid of any factual information.

Please, Rupert, tell your guys stop insulting — and boring — your audience with Dirty Dem fecal matter, lest you end up plummeting to the basement alongside the Clinton News Network.

I second your call to Fox News.

Well thought out and well put. I applaud you!

It's sad, and odd, that politicians and news media are rewarded not for finding and telling the truth, but for making up the most interesting tales. Perhaps if we, the people, didn't pander to the worst of them they might either go away or be ignored.

    • Marte says:

Yes – How about we ALL just stop tuning in to the news, visiting their websites, or buying their publications? We probably all do have something better to do with our lives.

      • Daniel says:

Thank you, Marte. Your comment improves greatly upon the point I was so ineptly trying to make.

      • Jim Hallett says:

That is EXACTLY what I do! I get my reliable information from LewRockwell.com (12 articles daily), Sovereign Man Confidential, Tom Woods, Mike Adams and Natural News, and of course, I read all of Robert Ringer's columns. Listening to the others is not only bad for one's blood pressure, but also presents nothing but lies and deceptions, and is designed to control the listener, NOT enlighten them. I don't expect everyone to agree with all my views on things, but I NEVER attempt to COERCE them, STEAL from them, or want my "agenda" imposed on anyone, unlike the "progressive socialist Libtards whose SOLE purpose is to COERCE, STEAL, and LIE while trying to shame anyone who does not agree with their anti-freedom agenda.

  4. IHeartDagney says:

Yes, this Russia NON-scandal is getting really old. What we are witnessing is the demise of the democrat party. It was a VERY long time coming. However, I think we are finally getting to the end. Take California (and all the illegal votes) out of the November election and Trump would have won the popular vote by 1.4 million. At best, the democrats are a very noisy regional party. Fox News needs to start treating them that way. If there was any "there there" on this Russia issue, they would have had it before the election. Stop harping on it now. If Trump had released his tax returns, the nit-picking of every line item would have driven us crazy! I'm sure after Trump's speech last week he turned even more semi-smart democrats into independents if not republicans. And, that HAS to have them scared.

The next question is: What political party will emerge for the criminal left once the democrats have driven the stake into their own hearts?

    • Jean says:

They may actually become honest with the American people AND their supporters and just embrace the Communist Party rubric.

  5. Jurgy says:

“no reasonable person could determine that there was an intent on her part to break the law.” … even if there is a mountain of evidence showing $hillery's intent, no intent to break the law never excused me (and very few others) from being duly sited.

"the world’s most famous community organizer setting up the country’s first officially recognized, unelected government (the “Obama Revolutionary Shadow Government”)" … I'm not so sure this shadow government is a real thing, organized by omaba to specifically bring down Trump …

"Trump’s refusal to release his tax returns" … Trump promised to show them, and it is troubling when he lies … makes it harder to believe allegations like "omaba wiretapped my phones" …

"I would therefore like to make the following offer to the American people: I will release all my tax returns if Barack Obama simultaneously orders the unsealing of his all college records.” … it would be nice …

  6. Arnold says:

We the people that Voted for Mr. Trump could care less about his tax returns!! That is all past and we are only interested in the future he talked about. Make America Great Again!!!!

  7. theczech says:

There are several probable and possible reasons that Obama never wanted to unseal college and graduate records:
    – foreign student status
    – anti-American activity (not just writings)
    – embarrassing disciplinary action
    – academic failures such as "D's" and "incompletes"
    – certain college medical clinic visits, diagnoses and prescriptions
    – civil liberty violations, arrests and arraignments
    – etc.

  8. Chotaharti says:

The media gives us essays rather than the old fashioned journalistic, who, what, where, why and when. Can we have a law against merging facts and opinion? What about banning all adjectives and adverbs in news stories, to start with?

    • SteveR says:

The media has given us essays and slanted reporting as far back as I can remember (fifty + years). I would not expect them to change anything now.
A great deal of the anti-war feelings from the Vietnam war was only because of the media. Walter 'Concrete" (all mixed up and thoroughly set in his mind) and Dan 'Rather not tell the truth' twisted and warped stories to fit their desires to change the thinking of the American people – AND IT WORKED!!
When people believe the media, they are believing half-truths and lies, period.

  9. Richard Van Der says:

What happened to the Spirit of Co-operation in Government in order "get things done"? I wonder. Why do they want to defeat themselves and present a chaotic Government to the rest of the world? President Trump, I BELIEVE, is an Idealistic Pragmatist who it "should be" obvious intends to do GOOD things for America, and the world. It is sad to see so much opposition right from his beginning. He and those who are with him. Overall, I can only assume that eternal war between Good and Evil is a constant within and between people. But, it is just that interplay, I assume, that is the means of growth collectively and individually. Mr. Ringer reflects an amazing mind as he sorts these matters out and presents his analyses and interpretations. I look forward to every next writing.

  10. Bob Oni says:

Wow, you’ve done it again, Robert Ringer. Are you sure you don’t want to be Donald Trump’s personal spokesman? Could Donald Trump ever do wrong in your eyes? Why are you equating Donald Trump’s refusal to release his Tax Return the same issue as Obama’s sealed college records? Since when was it a legal requirement for every American to publish their college records? You’re even advising Trump to release his tax return only if Obama releases his sealed college records. Unbelievable!

In case you’ve forgotten, everybody has to pay income tax, either through PAYE or filing a tax return. That’s how the law stood until your sweetheart, Donald Trump started running for President and began bending the rules, twisting facts and spinning ‘alternative facts’ to suit his despotic personal agenda. The little guy has to pay tax in America, but you think it’s alright for the likes of Trump not to pay their taxes?

Obama is now out of office and you’re still doubting his citizenship, prying into his college records and blaming him for everything wrong in America.

Shame on you and your Trump. Go get a life!

You know what is really annoying when a man of your intellect refuses to acknowledge the truth? You allow a megalomaniac buffon like Trump to think what he’s doing is right. The man has been an out of control rollercoaster speeding on a one-way road to ruin since he announced his bid for the white house. Even now as president, controversy and bad news have plagued him and his administration almost every single day since he became president.

Robert, don't worry about ‘Artificial scandals’ from your ‘Dirty Dems’, Trump will give you enough real life scandals to think and write about over the next four years. I hope you’ll have the stomach for them as they rain down from Washington.

    • Barbara Wells says:

Clearly, you are a jerk of the first magnitude! YOU ARE THE ONE who can't acknowledge the truth, not Ringer. You can only HOPE there will be scandals coming from the Trump presidency and that is ALL you can pin your hopes on. Don't "go get a life" – just drop dead!

    • Steven says:

Did you even read the article? I have to think you didn't, otherwise we must conclude you are too stupid to comprehend plain English.

    • Jean says:

I question your wording here, Bob. "…prying into his college records…" Um, didn't the MSM do numerous stories on GW Bush's academic record – at least until they discovered that he aced John Effin' Kerry academically? And wouldn't someone who was alleged to be academically gifted be the FIRST to demonstrate it by revealing his college records? On the other hand, don't YOU question why a so-called legal genius ended up becoming a community agitator rather than a litigator? And even as a community agitator, his resume is thin, as he walked away from the sole project he was working on to run for the state senate (that is according to a NY Times article, Bob.) Any logical person would have wanted to dig a little deeper. However, as a progressive, you are neither logical nor are you deep.

And can you name one genuine accomplishment that Obama had in 8 years of public office? Buehler?? Anyone??

  11. edda says:

A resounding 'bravo' and 'yes' to all the above! We are in worse shape than 'uncharted waters.' And no amount of opioids, feel-good MSM commentaries, witch hunts, pay raises, mc-mansions, apps or digital toys will be strong enough to combat the wave(s) of 'dirty tricks' coming our way. That great mark of any worthy civilization – critical thinking – is so under attack. As a most famous American dead white male said, "Wherever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government."

  12. Reality Seeker says:

"I would therefore like to make the following offer to the American people: I will release all my tax returns if Barack Obama simultaneously orders the unsealing of his all college records.”

    Beautiful suggestion.

The Liberty Movement needs to focus on Obama….. and I think that's just what President Trump intends to do.

And, yes, we need to concentrate fire on secondary targets like Schmuck Schumer, Nancy Blow-me, Barnyard Frank and Elisabeth Pocahontas Warren….. But it's Obama that needs to get severely hammered. And if HRC makes so much as a peep, that bitch needs to have her charity fund investigated as a money-laundering racket.

Sorry for the profanity, but I happen to agree with Roger Stone and Paul Joseph Watson… Some of us in the Liberty Movement need to rachet up the verbal aggression…. Guys like Ron Paul need to remain the gentleman they are….

Thanks for another fabulous article by RJR who is surely a valuable friend to the Liberty Movement….?

  13. Reality Seeker says:

….????? Absolutely no question about it!

    • Robert Ringer RJR says:

RS – You're absolutely right, the good guys have to focus on BHO. It's years overdue. He is at the center of everything, but the problem is getting weak-kneed Republicans to stiffen their backbones. As to HRC, I hope she keeps it up. Whatever else one may think of Trump, he is unmerciful to those who screw with him. If she keeps mouthing off, look for a grand jury to be impaneled. I would be delightfully guilty of Schadenfreude.

  14. Peter says:

Trump stated that he would release his tax returns when the audit was over. If he's not going to stand by a simple statement like that, why would we ever expect him to stand by any other statement he ever makes?

  15. Reality Seeker says:

"I spoke with the President twice yesterday about the wiretap story. I haven’t seen him this pissed off in a long time. When I mentioned Obama “denials” about the wiretaps, he shot back: 'This will be investigated, it will all come out. I will be proven right.'" — Christopher Ruddy CEO of NewsMax

As I said before, this wiretapping story is BIG. Behind the scenes the rumor is that HRC and Chuck Schumer were fed information by Obama's lieutenants…. How this story is reported on by Fox News tells you everything you need to know about Fox….. Moreover, why hasn't Fox broken a meaning story since its inception? Doesn't that speak volumes? WikiLeaks does a far better job and is more fair and balanced….

  16. Ivan says:

My wishes are that President Trump will put the country first before his businesses. I believe that his 2 sons and daughter are appointed to the task of running his business. The big question is will he be 100% committed to running the US only? Don't know for sure if there are laws on conflict of interest for a president. Can't say that the hillbillies were innocent in the tune of 150 million in speaking fees. The releasing of Trumps returns is irrelevant if he gets audited every year.

  17. gary gile says:

I enjoy reading most of what you write and agree with much of it. HOWEVER, the way you throw in adjectives and adverbs of a demeaning nature, to me, tends to put you on the level of the people you are criticizing. For example, saying "Dirty Dems" etc, is very low brow for someone who is supposed to be so well written.

    Just saying….

    • Robert Ringer RJR says:

Thanks for the compliment, Gary, but I guess I have a little DT in me. I really don't like to feel that I have to watch saying something that might offend somebone. You have to remember that I grew up at a time when there was no such thing as PC. Why is it, that no one ever goes to jail? Why is it that a felon can be a politician, but not a used car salesman?

  19. Rick G says:

Lols! I have a printed shirt which has a green pictured face of Nancy Pelosi with a large caption: "The Wicked Witch of the West Coast". What is wrong with her? Everytime she opens her big yap, she talks like she ain't got 'em all. Just goes to show you just how screwed up those cockroaches out there on the west coach are to put someone like that in office. Another selling point for the Calexit movement! Or even yet, another glorious day closer to when the San Andreas fault goes and the whole west coast slides into the Pacific!

Don't sell Hussein short! He's up to his sneaky ole tricks again as usual. Even though he is currently out of office, don't expect him to ever go away. He may even run again for President. There has been some talk about this. May heaven help us all!

There seems to be a two-tiered system of justice in this country. One, Tier One, for the privleged few, the rich, powerful, and influential, who can commit any conceivable crime imaginable and get away with it unscathed. Then, the other, Tier Two, is for the rest of us who can be arrested and prosecuted for the least little infraction. No wonder there are so many non-voters. They just gave up on a corrupt permanently broken system. Hillary will never be prosecuted. She is in Tier One, so she is off limits. So is her rapist husband Bubba.

    • Rick G says:

On Line 8, that is "west coast", not "west coach". Excuse for the oversight.

      • Robert Ringer RJR says:

Take heart in the words of Thomas Sowell: "The problem with clever people is that they keep on trying to be clever long after the point at which what they have to lose is far greater than what they have to gain."

  20. John E. Gabor says:

You are Trump's "Shadow Advisor". I hope Trump is reading and heeding your advice.

  21. Robert Diamond says:

DT was elected without releasing his tax returns. Others have released their tax returns while campaigning but it is not legally required. Trump chose not to and at this point DT is elected and the tax returns are no longer relevant to anything. They are just a distraction. So in my opinion DT should ignore the requests and let the issue die. As to Obama's college records those are also "yesterday's news" and although they could contain something interesting the man was elected with sealed college records – and he was re-elected. As much as I dislike Obama's policies and was unhappy with him as POTUS he is now part of history and I don't think DT should put any focus on Obama today. Better for DT to spend his energy moving his programs forward.

  22. Woody Garvey says:

Good article but you missed two other reasons Trump might be reluctant. First, the information might be useful for competitors and business enemies, making life tougher for the kids. Second, it is another DISTRACTOR. The DDs would go through every line of what is probably a LONG return. Each will engender questions and insinuations baiting a response. Thus, more interference in getting the agenda done

  23. Phil says:

Love the proposed exchange, i.e., college records for tax records!

  24. Bryan says:

I think part of what has the DD's so peeved is that DT is smart, very smart. He can, with a mere glance, dismiss them as petulant children. I, for one, am enjoying the show immensly.

  25. Ray Harris says:

A foreign student would enter the country on an I 20 visa.

Maybe there is still a record that Winston Smith hasn't found.
