Moral Superiority’s Blank Check

The most dangerous mind-set known to mankind is moral superiority, and it’s been on display, particularly by the Radical Left, since time immemorial. There are many harmful consequences to moral superiority, but the most dangerous one is a predisposition to violence. Whether it’s Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, or college-snowflake protestors, the Radical Left revels in violence.

It’s amazing to me that so many people seem completely baffled by the fact that the Radical Left — including the media, politicians, Hollywood, and various species of tree-hugging freaks — do not have the maturity or self-control to resist acting like spoiled children, vulgar troglodytes, and garden-variety maniacs.

Whether it’s illiterate foul language being spewed out by garbage receptacles such as Whoopi and Rosie, the unctuous self-righteousness that comes from limousine liberals like George Clooney and Barbara Streisand, or the absurdities that flow from the mouths of mass fake-news manufacturers like CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, and ABC, these people never back down, they never apologize, and they never show the slightest interest in considering the opinions of those who extol the virtues of freedom — no matter how foolish they look to normal human beings.

Nor do they get embarrassed when they repeatedly end up with egg on their face. Rachel Maddow was the latest Radical Left casualty the other night when she teased her audience into believing that she had the Trump smoking gun after getting her hands on two pages of his 2005 tax return (that a felony apparently occurred apparently was irrelevant to the MMS), only to end up boosting his stock by telling her audience that he actually paid more in taxes that year than, among others, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Comrade Bernie, and (how embarrassing) NBC’s parent company Comcast.

Not to worry, though. The next day, Maddow went right back to creating fake news for her deplorable followers — no apologies, no explanation, no nothing. Just business as usual.

Speaking of her deplorable followers, in grasping for a life preserver when even Radical Lefty Stephen Colbert wouldn’t toss her one, Maddow decided to blame the whole thing on her audience for “having expectations that were too high.” Ah, the blameless life of a liberal.

Getting back to moral superiority, what about all the goofballs who declared they would leave the country if George Bush was elected president? Result: No leaving, no shame, no embarrassment. Eight years later, without so much as flinching, they came right back and made the same proclamation regarding Donald Trump. Again, no leaving, no shame, no embarrassment.

I’m not saying that all these people are lunatics, though, clearly, many of them are. But members of the Radical Left are not monolithic. Some are, for one reason or another, simply mad at the world and have an uncontrollable desire to see others suffer. I’m talking junkyard-dog mean, as in Horrible Hillary or Harry Reid. These are the people who genuinely want to hurt as many people as possible. Why? I have no idea. Perhaps it was something in their baby formula.

Others feel morally superior because they’re just plain stupid. Here we’re talking lost souls like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Pocahontas — empty vessels who have no deeply held beliefs and absolutely no interest in helping anyone. (When’s the last time you heard of an illegal alien having tea and biscuits with Nancy at her San Francisco penthouse?) The only strong conviction they have is that they are morally superior to everyone else — especially the guns and bible crowd.

The odor of moral superiority permeates virtually all areas of our life and gives the self-righteous among us justification for destroying anyone who dares to defy their beliefs. Whether it’s the global-warming scam, the murder of unborn babies, or the forcible shutting down of speakers with whom they disagree, the heretics must be destroyed at all costs.

The number-one enemy of the morally superior is, as one would expect, free speech, because free speech has the potential to convert believers into nonbelievers. Just a couple days ago, the Sierra Club called for an investigation into whether the new head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, violated this own agency’s policies by daring to express his belief that carbon dioxide is not a primary contributor to climate change. (BTW, it’s not.)

The morally superior folks at the Sierra Club say that he also broke EPA rules by stating that policymakers should not “knowingly misrepresent, exaggerate, or downplay” scientific uncertainty, and that officials should “not suppress or alter scientific findings.” Sounds rational to me.

But not to the Sierra Speech Police. They have all the answers, and if you don’t accept those answers, it would probably not be a bad idea to get into the free-speech witness protection program.

The bottom line is that all members of the Radical Left have one thing in common: They absolutely, positively, and sincerely believe in their moral superiority. And, much like radical Muslims, if you refuse to yield to their demands, they have no choice but to destroy you. After all, if you’re morally superior, you have a blank check to do whatever is necessary to save the world.

That’s what all the vicious, nonstop attacks on Donald Trump have been about. He’s the greatest threat to the Radical Left in our lifetime — and probably ever. Why? Because he is daring to stand up to those who are morally superior to him, and that simply cannot be allowed. There is no other alternative than to destroy him.

It’s anybody’s guess who will win this ugly street fight, but I wouldn’t want to put money on the outcome. The only bet that’s safe is that it’s sure to be very bloody, because those who believe they are morally superior and those who believe in freedom cannot coexist.

Awesome Robert! I like it when you “Bring the Hammer Down!”

In England (I'm British) ever since Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s we have had pronouncements from lefties that "they would leave the country if Conservative leader xxxxx was elected", This isn't only for obvious right wingers, but anyone even the utterly harmless soft centrists.

I don't think any of them ever have.

They were all going leave over Brexit as well – the metropolitan left not the old left which were a bit like the Trump voters. The old "working man" left were pro Brexit.

  14. Jose Jackson says:

Seems that Trump actually paying taxes, and a lot of it, is making him even more popular than ever.

Although I wonder if it is legal to put that on the air without permission. Not sure if you can strip a cable company of a FCC license, but you can definitely do that for the parent company's holdings of over the air broadcast stations.

It's called revocation, and maybe its time to stick it hard to these punks and do a blanket revocation to the MSM. Would anybody miss them?

As far as how to lower pollution that does go on, why not have a 3 day weekend and a 36 hour work week
(where is written we must work 40 hours a week, some sort of secret Wall Street Bible verse or what?)

Not sure folks would be thrilled getting a 10% pay cut if your paycheck is composed of hourly pay; however; this would leave less of an immediate pollution carbon footprint that they could be proud of, lol.

This would accomplish the same goals of cutting about 20% less pollution, as the so called usual rush hour routes in every urban/suburbs areas would have with one less day of commuter traffic and the businesses they work at would be using less power too.

And why all the fancy pollution tax credit exchanges? It is great and all that we got lead out of paint and gasoline, and we don't allow companies to pollute the rivers and lakes anymore at their hearts content and better emission controls for auto and industry, but maybe if we had a true work/life balance, of maybe 4 days work and 3 days rest, a lot of this pollutions stuff and Sierra Club elites might be out of business.

And having one less leftist group would much better for the USA.

Oh wait, too much and too many moving parts of common sense going on here.

It's too early to tell whether DT will succeed or fail, win or lose. But the one thing that gives me hope is, regardless of the outcome, 10's of millions of heretofore ignorant Americans have become keenly aware of what the Deep State is, and how it operates. That's a lot of toothpaste that will never go back in the tube. That knowledge, in the long run, will lead to a continued death spiral of the New World Order. I will die happy.

Most dangerous indeed, Mr. R. An appropriate C. S. Lewis quote fits your fine words: “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

  18. Lana says:

Be sure to look in all directions. The former administration was adept at making the public angry about one thing, while they were busy pulling the rug out from under us in another direction. Misdirection is something for which the radical left is famous. Wouldn't it be nice if there were a network or outlet where we could actually get the truth without opinion. All of the great news commentators and anchormen must be turning in their graves.

  20. Reality Seeker says:

"It’s anybody’s guess who will win this ugly street fight, but I wouldn’t want to put money on the outcome."

Actually, I'm putting money on the outcome. The outcome for me is that l can rest assured in the fact that sooner or later the bond market rises enough to collapse the global economy. And it looks like it's going to happen sooner than the next four years. This means President Trump get to deal with an economic nightmare unless he's assassinated first….. The good news is that the US Empire is in much better shape than the EU, Japan, China and most every other spot on earth…. I know that's not what many, many people believe — especially the Goldbugs— but it's true. Another thing that's finally true is the Goldbugs are finally correct, viz., buy gold…

Buy gold. Buy silver. Buy gunpowder. And have faith…

A wise man would also stockpile some extra food, water, medical supplies, fuel and have enough cash on hand just in case….

Finally, if you wake up sometime in the foreseeable future to a North Korean -vs- US war…. If that happens, prepare for and expect a nuclear strick on US soil….

And you can take that to the bank….

Faith, that God fearing people will NOT cave in to those who (in my mind) use God's name to patronize us, even though they say they believe in him.Really? how could you be killing babies. Hypocrisy to the limit. The quote from Jesus," he who is without sin, cast the first stone" well I think the left is doing all the "casting" and it isn't a fishing line !! God Bless them , Love Them, Forgive them and release them to wherever they need and want to go 🙂

  22. As usual, a well crafted article with brilliant analysis and insight. They don't call liberalism "a mental disorder" for no reason.

  23. I am astonished at the insults you, Robert Ringer, are throwing at the "Liberal Left." The very words you impugn to the Liberal Left are the words you yourself use. Insults, never backing down, never apologizing, being "radical" in your views – all of it. Are you projecting? I can't even go through the entire article, it's downright vile. It's certainly not objective. Your opinions are themselves radical. You don't like George Clooney or Whoopi or Rosie, fine; you don't like the politics of the left, fine; but look at the words and descriptions you use: "…uncontrollable desire to see others suffer"?? "Moral superiority"? All your own writing displays your own moral superiority, as you denigrate the "radical left."

    • Charles N. Steele says:

I think Ringer actually *is* morally superior – he doesn't have a formula for running everyone else's life that he wants to implement at gunpoint, and he doesn't promote a philosophy that calls for elimination of dissent and destruction of dissenters…quite unlike the people he criticizes.

As for insulting the left, given how unhinged and utterly intolerant the left has become, he seems rather measured to me. I'm just pleased he's trying to waken people to how dangerous the left really is.

All those cry baby Radic-Libs are still here, hanging around, pissing and moaning about last November's election results and how it did not go their way. Truly miserable bunch of whining losers! They still have not left the country as they "promised". Cher still has not left for Jupiter yet. I'm still waiting! Getting impatient! Why not Mars then? That way, she won't have to go through the asteroid belt to get to Jupiter. And Whoopi Goldberg! Heaven help us all! She never left for Canada either. She looks like a politically correct scarecrow. And an ugly one at that! Besides, she looks like she stinks and needs a good scrubdown with a wire brush and lye soap. And Nancy Pelosi, the Wicked Witch of the West Coast! I know of meth, crack, and heroin users who can verbally express themselves better than her! These political bedbugs will never go away! Rachel Maddow. She looks like a dude!. She probably is one. I bet she is anatomically built like one. Wouldn't be surprised! And the sprouting new crop of Radic-Libs just ready to be harvested: The Millennials! I can't stand the Radic-Lib crowd!

Another great article. In my view the liberals can't tolerate debate, free speechbor contrary opinions expressed because their ideas do not hold up to history or logic. How can one promote socialism and communism when those ideas have been tried and failed – keading ultimately to oppression and misery for their citizens? How can they afford to debate global warming when the science is not yet settled so their arguments to transform our energy pollicy cant withstand debate. At the end of the day liberal elites assume they know best and want to dictate to the rest of us how to live and the non elite liberals are simply frustrated people who want to destroy the existing system. And finally tje freedom loving folks in Ameruca have said "enough" and elected folks who are mot liberals. At all levels of government – local AND federal. God Bless DT and give him strength to fight off tje oppressive, violent, implacable liberals and strenghth and wisdom to sll those at state, local and federal levels who have been elected to take bsck our free United States from those who would take our freedoms from us.

  28. wootendw says:

"Others feel morally superior….Here we’re talking lost souls like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Pocahontas — empty vessels who have no deeply held beliefs…"

These statements are self-contradictory. Don't "deeply held beliefs" include (mainly) moral beliefs? How can anyone "feel morally superior" if he has no "deeply held beliefs"? Frankly, I consider freedom, including the free press, to be morally superior to locking people up for expressing their (moral) beliefs. I also consider truth (objective reality) to be morally superior to dishonesty and fraud.

"Moral superiority" or feeling "morally superior" has nothing to do with the outrageous behaviors that Mr. Ringer has touched upon here. Many of the identified culprits do not even claim to be "morally superior". Some of them have been known to criticize religious leaders for imposing their moral beliefs, or morality, on others and would, thus, find common cause with Mr. Ringer.

Mr. Ringer, in his books "Looking Out for Number One" and "Winning through Intimidation", identified himself as a follower of Ayn Rand. Perhaps he has since figured out that Ayn Rand was an absolute moralist, but had a different view on what is moral. In her view, individual rights were moral and in accordance with man's (objectively true) nature. As she said, the problem is not to return to morality, but to discover it.
