Trump and America Win Iowa Caucuses!

Forget what you’ve heard from the media. Donald Trump and America were the clear winners of the Iowa caucuses. And while we’re at it, let’s applaud Ted Cruz and Ben Carson (and maybe even Carly Fiorina and Rand Paul for playing small supporting roles).

Trump, along with the other above-mentioned candidates, gave the middle finger to the D.C. Crime Syndicate that has long had its jackboot on the throats of more than 300 million Americans. Psychologically, it was the same as if they had gone into the RNC headquarters and started breaking chairs and windows and smashing statist politicians in the mouth. It’s been like watching a Dirty Harry movie.

Because of Trump’s refreshing brashness, name-calling, and delicious disrespect for the establishment gatekeepers who are supposed to control everything, America and Americans now have hope. Americans owe a huge debt of gratitude to Trump, because it was he who came out swinging on day one and, even after an attempt to isolate him in the first GOP debate, broke all the rules of establishment etiquette.

I’m talking about rules that have made sure that Demopublicans like Mitch McConnell, Mush McCain, Lindsey Graham, Paul Ryan, et al can always be counted on to support the statist quo. The deal has been straightforward: “Cooperate with us and we’ll continue giving you a significant chunk of the spoils (i.e., money and power).”

As far as individual victories go, whether Trump or Cruz can ultimately prevail remains to be seen. (The other party crashers have no chance over the long haul, with the possible exception of the purist man in the race, Ben Carson, and then only if many more crazy and disruptive things happen in the Republican primaries.)

But make no mistake about it, the establishment folks will not go quietly, as they clearly demonstrated by finding a way to get one of their own, Marco Rubio, almost to the top in Iowa. Rubio is being primed as the next great RINO, and even though I find him eminently obnoxious, I must admit that he has a razor-smart mind, is an outstanding speaker and debater, and, most important, the possessor of a ruthless streak that is essential for someone who aspires to head up the D.C. Crime Syndicate.

If Glenn Beck were not an embarrassing, confused fool who is desperately trying to find a way to get his kisser back on television, he would have spent his time trying to bring down Rubio rather than Trump. But that sad spectacle is another story for another day. Let’s just say that while most people lead lives of quiet desperation, Beck is now leading a life of noisy desperation.

Getting back to Trump, I have no doubts that if he were elected, he would do a lot of things that would disappoint and antagonize his supporters, but I feel pretty certain that the one thing he would not do is allow the D.C. Crime Syndicate to continue with business as usual. Neither would Cruz or any of Trump’s other supporting cast members, though to a lesser degree.

Regardless, no one should ever forget that it was Trump who changed the business-as-usual conversation in this election. He crudely busted up the establishment’s “the-fix-is-in” party when he brought illegal immigration to the forefront of the debates, then followed that up with a plan to ban Muslims.
Unfortunately, the Muslim thing was not thought through carefully, because DT should have narrowed the field on that one. No one (including Trump, I would wager) wants to ban Jordan’s King Abdullah from the United States, but even the king himself, when asked what he thought about Trump’s statement, just smiled and said, “You’re into an election cycle, so I don’t think it’s fair for you to ask a foreign leader to express his opinion on candidates in your country running for election.” A real class act.

As to the media, if they weren’t so corrupt and stupid, they would not have missed the real story of the Iowa results, which is what caused Trump and his cohorts to make such an impact on voters.

The story I’m referring to is that, thanks to the Marxmeister in the White House, Americans have finally begun to realize that they’ve lost the America they once knew. Any reasonably knowledgeable person knows that the United States is now $19 trillion in debt and that that debt is climbing — fast. The claim that the deficit is shrinking is completely bogus. The fact is that the debt climbed from $18 trillion to $19 trillion dollars in the most recent thirteen months, which wouldn’t be possible if the deficit were shrinking.

When Obama took office, George W. Bush had run the national debt up from $4 trillion to a record $10.6 trillion in just eight years. “Downright unpatriotic,” exclaimed the ultimate patriot, Barack Obama, who at the time must have been picturing Saul Alinsky smiling approvingly from his grave.

What all this means is that whoever takes the reins of power a year from now will inherit an unpayable $20 trillion debt, along with a massive bureaucracy over which he will have little control. More to the point, it means that America cannot be “turned around” in U-turn fashion. Like the World Trade Towers, the country is crashing in flames, and the job of rebuilding it can begin only after the fire is extinguished and the debris are removed.

It took thirteen years just to rebuild the World Trade Center, but it will take generations to rebuild America, even if George Washington and the other Founders were to rise from the dead and take control of things. Trust me, this job is a generational challenge, if for no other reason than while liberty lovers are trying to rebuild the country, indefatigable statists — especially their radical left fringe — will be relentlessly trying to stifle the rebuilding process.

In that vein, the second-biggest story of the Iowa results is that an avowed socialist and a career criminal whose college thesis at Wellesley centered around Saul Alinsky’s revolutionary strategies ended in a dead heat. This is whom the radical left end of the Demopublican Party spectrum has running for president of the United States, and it would be funny were it not for the fact that in 2008 it proved it has the ability to win and gain full control of the government.

As the primaries heat up, my closing advice to you is this: Do not put your faith in any one individual to save America. To crush the life out of tyrannical statism will take a massive education revolution in America. That being the case, the best thing you can do in the short term is put your faith and efforts into saving yourself and your family and help those you care about as much as possible.

In other words, even though Trump and America won the Iowa caucuses, don’t get carried away. Accept the reality that this is a multi-generational struggle that cannot be won by electing the “right” individual. Individuals are flawed, more so after they arrive in Washington, so they are preprogrammed to disappoint you.

The goal should be to fundamentally change the modern, perverse purpose of government, which is to redistribute wealth and use force to make people do things they don’t want to do — and, of course, prevent them from doing things they do want to do. This is the essence of tyranny. So by all means, you should do your best to help move America away from tyranny and toward freedom, but to expect to bring about major results quickly is to invite disillusionment into your life.

Having said all this, it’s nothing to be depressed about. America isn’t going away. It’s just going to continue to go through enormous chaos and upheaval, and the result every decade will be different. But, through it all, there will still be plenty of opportunity for those who are hardworking, resourceful, and determined, so be sure to include yourself in that group.

This is reasonably accurate and insightful. But I don't support Donald Trump. The more I learn about him, the more convinced that he would replace the current criminal cartel in Washington with his own. He supports eminent domain, which as used, attacks the very basis of property rights. He built his empire on the backs of people with horrible addictions (particularly gambling). He is also a spoiled brat, as he has repeatedly demonstrated. He has many other stances that are anything but libertarian or conservative. He's not talking, so read between the lines. That said, the main point I got from your article is that Trump has shaken things up, and this is having a lasting impact. I agree.

You don't have to support him… Just cheer him on. I refuse to vote for any Incumbrepublocrat, Trump included; but I sure wish him well in his endeavor to best the establishment, and hope he wins. Stop judging his lifestyle and business ventures, and realize the immense favor he is doing for us, while satisfying his own selfish interests. Synergy at its finest… ◄Dave►

      • patg2 says:

If Trump is willing to make money by hurting people with his business entrprises, what makes you think he won't be willing to hurt people if he is elected President? There is a lot to like about him, but as long as he thinks that the government has the right to seize property to provide for more profitable businesses, or increase the property tax base, he is the enemy. Sorry. Yes, they are all flawed. Plain and simple, I don't trust Trump. Yes, he has done us a big favor. No, he shouldn't be President. (And by the way, his ego reminds me a lot of O-bama's.)

        • ◄Dave► says:

He had better be ready to hurt people, if he wants the job. The one perhaps legitimate function of our federation, is to deploy the military to defend us from foreign aggression. The function of the military is to break things and kill people. I like that Trump is not anxious to start wars, or get involved in any where our interests are not legitimately at stake; but if unavoidable, the rules of engagement need to be ruthlessly intent on utterly annihilating the enemy, with nothing less than total victory the overriding goal. Much so-called 'collateral damage' is unavoidable, when wars are fought to win them. The CinC can't be squishy about that.

I come closer to declaring myself an anarchist every day, so in principle I am pretty much against eminent domain, zoning laws, property taxes and even Presidents. Assuming one accepts the necessity of the latter for the comforts of 'civilization,' how is eminent domain all that different than zoning laws? The community decides they wish to clean up the urban blight in a ghetto, and chooses to replace it with an industrial park that would bring jobs and a larger tax base to the community. They buy up 95% of the blighted property at way over market value; but one or two hold-outs refuse to sell their dumps at any price. What is a reasonable solution? Should your next door neighbor be free to turn his front yard into a junk yard, just because it is his property? To me, it is the same thing.

At least trump earned his ego, and he pays his own way. Obama's ego is more like Cruz' or Rubio's – legends in their own minds, willing to sell their souls to the highest bidder, for a measure of power and glory, which incidentally, Trump already possesses. 😉 ◄Dave►

          • patg2 says:

I'm not talking about hurting aggressive people, but rather, hurting ordinary Americans (such as through eminent domain). That is unacceptable. And yes, zoning is the same kind of issue, and for what it's worth, we got hauled into court over a zoning violation, represented ourselves, and beat the socks off them. That was 30 years ago, and we still have the variant item on the property. I wish people would rise up and smell the coffee on property tax. It is the most INSIDIOUS, CRUEL tax, and totally negates the very concept of property. Yet even the Libertarian Party doesn't think that issue is important. Go figure.

If my neighbor wants to turn his property into a junk yard, I would tend to say, that's fine with me. If it lowers the property value, that could be a problem IF I want to sell (which I don't), but it WILL lower my property tax, so why should I complain?

Sure, Trump earned his bragging rights. I rather think that is beside the point, because he doesn't exercise them in a way I find acceptable.

            Reply to Patg2:

Have you read Murray Rothbard, yet? Good man, Murray was; and it was men like him, who understood that so long as taxation is involuntary, we all live in a rent-seeking socioeconomic system. That's right, government really owns your property, not you. If you think not, just stop paying your taxes (rent) and see who really owns what.

Is Trump a mean man? Yes. Trump is a badass. Is Ted Cruz a better man? No. In fact, Ted is worse inasmuch as Ted is a typical political hypocrite. Why? Because the more you dig down into who Ted really is ( e.g., who his friends are, who he associates are, who his handlers are) the more you realize how much Ted is like Richard Nixon.

            History repeats.

Do any of the tourists, who are posting their scribble on this blog, remember Nixon? Do you remember how Nixon tailored his 1968 presidential campaign to sound a lot like Goldwater, so he could appeal to the real conservatives?? Nixon ran a great campaign. Unbeknownst to the ignorant masses, Nixon played very dirty. Nixon had some outstanding operatives filling the public's head full of shit. Honestly, Ted Cruz isn't much different than Nixon was. Hey, I know none of the tourists posting here are going to believe me, but that's why you'll always be tourists.

Chad C. Sweet, James Woolsey, Elliot Abrams and Dan P. Gabriel, to name a few, are all close to Cruz. Look at their backgrounds. Than look at the roles they play in the Cruz's campaign, and tell me how Cruz is any different than Nixon. Moreover, Cruz has a lot of moles. He's infested.

In fact, I'd rather vote for Nixon than Ted. I wish Nixon was running. Nixon had more control over his people than Ted. And, really, what bad Nixon did ( e.g., Watergate) was small potatoes compared to the treason committed by Obama, Clinton or Bush— even Reagan.

So, yeah, it's fun to watch how the tourists wet themselves over Ted, but I'll take Trump over Ted any day of the week. But I'll still vote for Ted, if he's the nominee.

          • patg2 says:

I don't need to read Murray Rothbard. I already know that de facto, government owns me. I try to speak out but nobody is listening.

I haven't been a supporter of Cruz. I don't know who I really support. I like Ben Carson, but he has some unforgiveable flaws, particularly his stand that vaccination should be compulsory. That's anti-family, and that general attitude will continue to destroy medicine and my access to alternatives.

I mostly agree with you. And Watergate WAS small potatoes. I thought that was ridiculous, and I refused to follow the news. I do remember Nixon and the tenor of his campaign.

But Trump is no better than the rest of them, just different. If he is nominated, I will vote for him.

          • Reality Seeker says:

I mostly agree with you, too.

"I try to speak out but nobody is listening."

I listened. Other's listen, too, but what's most important, in my opinion, is the internal dialog we have with ourselves as we write. When I write, I write for myself, mostly. Writing actually improves my critical thinking. When I post here, it's like fishing. I never know what I'll catch.

            All the best….

          • patg2 says:

            Fishing expedition? LOL

The people who NEED to listen, who can eliminate property tax, are not listening. They are the ones that count.

Critical thinking is important. Keep it up.

        • ◄Dave► says:

Sealing the border could be easy, if we were serious about it. Instead of wasting a fortune on a wall, station an armed guard every 1/4 mi. along its length, with unambiguous orders to shoot to kill, any man, woman, or child who crossed it, anywhere other than at an official port of entry. The word would get out quickly, and fewer people would die every year than do now, at the hands of the ruthless coyotes or mother nature in the merciless desert.

Just imagine all the lives saved and serious injuries avoided, from trying to climb over high fences or tunnel under them. How is that for a compassionate foreign policy?

I suspect that there are enough gung-ho militia member volunteers, willing to bring their own rifles and take a few shifts on their vacations, that total border security would cost less than we spend now, for the Border Patrol joke. As an added bonus, drug smuggling would be effectively over too, so we could cut back on the DEA budget. ◄Dave►

Perhaps a solution would be a "restoration of the 10th amendment", i.e., states-rights movement. What none will recognize is that the solution to defeating the twin grind-stones of Oligarchy and Marxism was solved by the Fascist movement of pre-WW2. What Americans don't realise is that other countries have gone through the processes which the US is currently experiencing. Western Europe have accepted socialistic influences. Looking at my own country South Africa, you must see what terrible shape the country is, labor productivity per worker is at a 60 year low.

Google South African labor productivity at 60 year low

And it's the influence of socialists upon the economy – you must see how many socialists are coming to South Africa from all over the world. So where capitalism attracts the best and brightest, richest – socialism seems to do the opposite – it attracts welfare dependents from across the entire world and the socialist ideologues.
Fortunately there's still many capitalist leaders and businesses that carries the largest welfare state on earth by numbers and percentage wise. But the economic ignorance of the population is staggering. Ironically China's a positive capitalist influence upon a society that's blasted with socialist influences from across the entire world, especially from Scandinavian countries.

"To crush the life out of tyrannical statism will take a massive education revolution in this country." If education of the masses is required to solve this problem, the project is doomed. As you know from our prior discussions years ago, Robert, Andrew J. Galambos pointed out that the majority of folks are not educable in the manner required to solve these problems. What is required are a methods to "demonstrate" that there are a better ways to manage government. Let the folks actually "see" a better plan-in-action rather than trying to intellectually entice them. A picture is said to be worth a thousand words. Pareto's Law has not yet been repealed.

    • Stuart says:

And how will you demonstrate it when you don't have power?

      • Jon says:

In the same way, Stewart, that Henry Ford didn't hire lobbyists in Washington to get laws passed to outlaw buggywhip makers. He built the automobile and "the folks" saw that it beat the socks off of horses pulling buggys. In the same way Edison invented the light bulb instead of "fighting" kerosene lamp makers. In the same way Bill Gates didn't crusade against typewriters but instead built computers. Think creatively.

        • Stuart says:

And you see what has happened. Corporate boards took over–internationallists, who only seek profit and have "off-shored" the economy. That's where a Nationalist gov't would play it's role and place tariffs (as Trump proposes) to make it unprofitable to leave. I suggest you watch for video I posted above for further details.

          • Jon says:

Money ALWAYS goes where it is appreciated. Maybe you should evaluate how all the U.S. taxes and regulations chase-away productive people and companies. As Reagan opined, government IS the problem.

"It’s been like watching a Dirty [Porn] movie."

I've been saying this election was going to be fun to watch ever since Trump announced himself on the "Grand Escalator" in NYC. And I've not been disappointed. Elections don't get any better than this.

What's really laughable in a gallows humor sort of way is how the ignorant voters have no idea what's really going on behind the curtain. For example, the low-information people have no idea what a polished piece of shit Marco Rubio is….. sorry, but there's no better, more accurate, way to put it.

And watching how Cruz's handlers "stole Iowa" with dirty tricks is just the kind of reality, porn show I was expecting. What most people don't know is that some of the Cruz insiders have interesting CIA connections and the training to destabilize elections. Mr. Bill Still posted a video that touches on what's going on inside the Cruz campaign, but it's only the tip of the iceberg. Suffice it to say that the political intrigue is well beyond both the knowledge and comprehension of the ingenuous public. You can watch Mr. Still's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8hJofse56g

In my opinion, Cruz doesn't even know how badly he's been infiltrated and how cartel forces used his campaign to steal Trump's rightful victory in an attempt to control public perception.

I really can't say this enough: the Washington cartel is going to do anything to keep Trump from becoming president, e.g., voter fraud. And if the cartel can turn Cruz, Carson and Trump against each other then that's just what they'll do. Rule # 1 is there are no rules.

Going forward, I fully expect some powerful forces to start backing their polished piece of shit, Marco Rubio, and turn him into the Trump slayer. This is going to be really, really interesting to watch as opposing forces, who back the Bushes, are going to attempt to take Rubio out as revenge for betraying Jeb in Florida. This year is going to be one of the most interesting years in my lifetime. It's really riveting to watch as DT battles it out with the Washington cartel(s).

Finally, I'm glad to see Rand Paul throw in the towel. Rand is a good man and the best choice for president of 1950s America, but this ain't the 50s. Sorry, Rand, but America is an empire, now. And an empire needs a caesar. That's why Trump is the right guy at the right time.

The concern we all should have is: Has the Donald also read Saul Alinsky's writings? And the only difference in application is that he has figured out how create his own crisis to exploit. With that in mind, I do not think we want to start the long slog next fall with a choice between "the lady and the trump"!

  8. IMHO says:

I agree with your premise but I would argue that your facts are a bit skewed. it seems you and others I used to respect just can't stop beating the Trump drum. Ted Cruz was bravely fighting the establishment and the media in his home state and in Washington long before Trump decided to change parties because he thought he would stand a better chance of being crowned king. Ted Cruz has defended the Constitution that you claim to love with every fiber of his being; Trump doesn't have a clue what's in it. Yes, Cruz has feet of clay just like all of us and he has made a few missteps along the way but he has never strayed from his love of this country and his desire to make it better for "We the people" and not just for another feather in his cap. Ted Cruz just did something in Iowa that has never been done. He won running on stopping their precious Ethanol subsidies and won with more votes than any other Republican candidate has ever received in Iowa. Why can't you and the mainstream media stop pushing your own agenda for 5 minutes and give credit where credit is due. I'm sad to say that today you lost the respect of a loyal, long time reader.

    • ◄Dave► says:

I used to admire Ted Cruz, until he had the audacity to run for POTUS. If a serious Constitutional scholar – especially one claiming to be an originalist – really respected the Constitution, he would happily settle for a career in the Senate, and not try to usurp the office of POTUS, for which he knows he is ineligible. Lawyerly obfuscation, about it now being ‘settled law’ that subsequent legislative action has overridden the natural-born citizen clause, is pure horse pucky. I have lost all respect for the man. ◄Dave►

Sir, I would not want you to write only what I want to read; the first amendment is one I treasure and would fight to defend. I have read your words very closely and simply shared my observations. I’m trying to understand how you can sing the praises of someone whose beliefs run contrary to your own.

        These are your exact words,

“Getting back to Trump, I have no doubts that if he were elected, he would do a lot of things that would disappoint and antagonize his supporters, but I feel pretty certain that the one thing he would not do is allow the D.C. Crime Syndicate to continue with business as usual.”

By Trump’s own admission, up until the day he decided to run for POTUS he financially supported members in both parties of the “D.C. Crime Syndicate” and as of last week was still proud to call many members of this group his close friends. He also bragged that he would be able to cut deals with this group. If that Sir is not business as usual then perhaps I am missing something.

        • Robert Ringer RJR says:

As Steve Molyneaux has said, we should want someone in the Oval Office who knows how to cut GOOD deals. Trump knows how to cut good deals – deals that are actually good for the Average American.

          • IMHO says:

Would those be the same type of GOOD deals that forced Trump to file bankruptcy four times? I suppose those were good deals for the Average American left holding the bag.

I'll vote Ted, if he defeats Trump. I supported Ted, big time, when he ran against and defeated CIA insider, David Dewhurst. Dewhurst's reputation in the CIA is well known. His record as an intelligence officer and hitman is common knowledge. You can even find declassified information about him online. So, yeah, Ted is great compared to a guy like Dewhurst. But Ted is half the man Trump is when it comes to deal making. Trump is the right man for the right time. Think of DT as a monkey wrench. When you vote for DT, you vote to throw a monkey wrench into the DC Doomsday Machine. I don't expect a tourist like you to understand how the system really works, but don't put too much faith in Ted Cruz as the guy whose core values are better than Trump's core values. There not.

          • IMHO says:

It’s one thing to say you are going to make America great again but I have yet to see any detailed plan for how he plans to do that. I choose to look at a man’s record rather than listen to the words he says, words are cheap.

I would refer you to my reply to RR when it comes to Trumps deal making.

As for the backhanded slap about me being a tourist…save it for the Twitter crowd.

          • Reality Seeker says:

Reply to IMHO: A ten billion dollar net worth isn't proof enough of Trump's ability?

Silly me, maybe it's Ted's Goldman loans and his Goldman wife that give you so much confidence in Ted's integrity.

Actually, using an LLC to go bankrupt ( or threaten to go bankrupt) is a tactic employed to gain wealth. Tourists don't understand how the game is played. For example, Michel Dell purchased the Four Seasons resort on Maui with an LLC. That Four Seasons was the number two money maker in the world when he closed the deal. That didn't stop him from threateningly act by intimidating the lenders with bankruptcy. In the end Dell used his LLC to renegotiate better terms Dell had plenty of money. In fact, he could have paid the lenders in cash. These people, like Dell and Trump, are killers, not babies, and not tourists.

I say America is going to need somebody who will negotiate a haircut on its debt. And that would be Trump. Cruz is bought and paid for by the banisters. Sorry, but it's true. Cruz might betray Goldman, but I wouldn't count on it.

            Goodnight.

          • Reality Seeker says:

            * Michael Dell.

Sorry about the typos. It's the spell checker combined with my lack of focus.

      • Common Sense says:

Dave has lost all respect for Ted Cruz, not you RR.

Thanks for the defense; but if you follow the arrows carefully, you will see that RR was responding to IMHO, who did say he had lost respect for him. ◄Dave►

    • Freedom says:

You seem to be making the most massive mistake I have seen this election cycle. Rubio, Cruz, et al have done NOTHING to improve the US or our lot, all they have done is propose different ways to spend YOUR money, because they know how to spend YOUR money better than you do, of course!

Trump has made money, created jobs, turned a profit and been highly successful in the private sector without abusing you or using YOUR money.

I don't understand how anyone that CLAIMS to be pro-freedom and liberty can even be capable of making such a ridiculous error when trying to compare Trump with other candidates. As far as I am concerned you have little to no credibility by trying to compare a statist with an entrepreneur as if they are equal. One won a rich person supported popularity contest for the right to repress you and spend YOUR money, one built something with his own hands, you sort it out you proto-fascist.

  9. Stuart says:

What naive Americans don't understand is that using the system is limited because it's designed to further "our ruling class". Majorities don't matter in the end, determined minorities do. Trump faces the obstacles of vote fraud and obstruction by both parties in a Trump presidency. To maintain power Trump will need a military alliance to carry out a coup or a mass movement that has no illusions in "Democracy" and the mob. Human nature and the real world. The issue is Nationalism, not Left or Right; big gov't or no gov't.

  10. Kevan Rowlee says:

I like your article, RR. I've been a fan of both Ron & Rand Paul. The problem constitutionalists have with Trump is he doesn't have a clue about either the Constitution & Bill of Rights or the Old & New Testaments in the Bible. He thinks a majority opinion, on say the 4th Amendment or the 2nd Amendment, is sufficient to contravene our fundamental God given rights. That's the way a secular-humanist democracy is run. However, that's not the way it was EVER intended in the constitutional republic our Founders gave us where our persons, homes and properties are FOREVER protected from the whims of a majority government which desires them.

I already shared your article on my Facebook wall.

  11. Charles Martel says:

The only reference I've heard Trump make to the constitution was his support of the 2nd Amendment, and that amendment merely articulates a natural right that will not be surrendered. Mr. Trump's usefulness has been exhausted now that he has awakened many Americans.

  12. Reality99r says:

WOW, Mr. Ringer – your essay is 100% right on.
Our country is so completely dis-functional that only a pragmatic self funding successful business leader could be the panacea that at least attempts to get us back on track.
One thing our government has never experienced is an astute businessman at the helm running the country like a business.
All we've ever had are bought and paid for politicians.
I get a minimum of 20 emails a day from Cruz's campaign, about 15 from Rubio's, 2 or 3 from Carson's, approximately 25 to 30 each from Clinton's and Sanders (I believe in equal opportunity)', and none from Trump's which is refreshing as it means Trump relies on his own (sometimes) brilliant counsel and not on paid flunkies.

  13. Patriots and Expats says:

The majority of Americans are asleep at the wheel. Your article shows your passion for the right way and not giving up hope but America is too far gone, controlled and corrupted to turn around. Hillary is already picked by the powers that be to become the next president and Trump, although a breath of fresh air, is just a political distraction. Better start planning for the Clinton Dynasty to manifest because that is a given! Sorry but that's the rude reality and awakening. It the Bitch of Benghazi up next.

    • Robert Ringer RJR says:

Fortunately, you are wrong. I stick by my seven-year-old prediction that Hillary will never be president of the U.S. Almost any Republican candidate would beat her handily, but the reality is that Jim Comey and friends will probably beat them to it.

      • Stuart says:

According to Larry Nichols (former campaign henchman–reformed, of the Clintons), Obama will wait until HIllary gets Dem nomination then release her criminal activity, forcing her to step down and appoint Biden as nominee. This insures Obama will remain "king maker" of the party, instead of the Clintons, and Biden will appoint him Sec. General of the UN. Sounds quite plausible.

        • Sordid Rubric says:

Excellent analysis of such a remote possibility . I could definitely see that outcome; however the FBI cannot wait that long to release the report, so the chances are narrowed down unless they can stretch it out.

The thing you have absolutely correct, and what I have been predicting for 8 years is that Obama is not going to retire and play golf, what a joke. He is just getting started on his plan to eradicate America, and the easiest way to do that after he leaves us in a shambles, is to continue with his shambling and take the UN Secretary General post.

This gives him the ability to tell the whole world all at once how stupid we are, and how we need to submit to Islam, just like his speech yesterday stated. By the time he leaves America for the New World Order, One World Government post, all the "arsonists" (Islamic jihadist refugees he is bringing into America by the hundreds of thousands) will be in place, and the new American civil war should be about to heat up.

Do any Americans have a clue what is going on? It is so obvious, yet I sit here and watch America being disassembled by Obama and Ryan and McConnell, and everyone is watching and yawning. Do you have any idea how serious this is?

          • Robert Ringer RJR says:

My guess is that BHO will form some kind of radical-left institution with billions of dollars in donations. It will become almost like a fourth branch of government. He will continue on as though he were still president and be in the news daily.

          • Sordid Rubric says:

Robert, your guess sounds like a highest probability, as they always do raise money for themselves and their evil minions, like the Clinton's do. Of course he will continue to run America from the UN, and continue to run the Democrat/Socialist party here in America. Right now he is running Europe in absentia, while they wait for him to leave office.

Stuart nailed it on infowars utube, as the illegal alien situation is out of control as BHO brings in millions to dilute our Constitution with people who could care less about it, they come here to rape our country and create the chaos BO needs to push a one world solution. With America on fire it will be much easier for everyone to submit – to Everything planned by the NWO and the Muslim Brotherhood.

BO is the most prolific Human Trafficker in world history, as he is in cahoots with the drug cartels in Mexico to bring aliens here thru the usual routes, as well as fly in thousands everyday by free air flights he conducts daily, to pick up illegals in their homelands to fly them in. And this doesn't count the thousands of refugees he flies in daily as well.

This is impeachment stuff, but we have the most corrupt Congress in history in cahoots with BO, so we are doomed as Ryan has been bought off. Sad days ahead for America.

          • Sordid Rubric says:

I want you to know I replied to your comment and am saying so, so I wouldn't appear rude – but it was trashed again. Sorry, but I have no idea what to say that won't get trashed. A list of rules would be great. I agree with you of course, as they always do raise money, other than that, it appears comments are gone and cannot be stated…

          • Phil says:

It is going to be hard to sleep with this thought in my head tonight, lol!

      • Nasdaq7 says:

People are very critical of the Democratic Party and their pro-socialist and social liberal alliances, but the reality that many people forget is that people are motivated by self-interest. There's a business saying the customer is always right and those politicians and political parties that can align the best with the needs and desires of the majority of voters have an advantage, despite rhetoric or fear. So don't be surprised if someone from the Democratic Party does win the election, because that party does focus fiercely upon the minute needs and desires of voters rather than leadership. It doesn't mean that the best decision makers, the best political party wins elections, only the most popular in the eyes of those that turn out on election day. The hope is rationality and intelligence will triumph when it comes to economic and societal and foreign issues, but often it is a matter of just trust and self-interest that is a deciding factor on election day. So I hope Mr. Trump can gain the trust of the majority. People remember the economic legacy of Pres. Bill Clinton and some constantly project that it upon Hillary Clinton. So the hope is reason will prevail. I was really excited when Donald Trump said he wanted to run a few years ago, because businessmen I feel can make good politicians and leaders.

  14. Margaret says:

    Robert,

I agree with your post 100%. Your comments about Beck are so true. As a distraction I used to listen to the little guy's show while I was driving—until he started bashing Trump. As a radio show "entertainer" he has a lot of nerve trying to tell us how to vote!

I began asking myself, 'Why is he so obsessed with Cruz?" Is he trying to get a real job from the Cruz Administration? Since Beck is dedicated to Cruz, I started looking at Trump more closely. He has nothing to gain by running for President (lower salary, smaller living quarters, etc) I think Trump does love our country, and he would not spend our tax dollars on lavish vacations. It's about time this country was run like the corporation it is.

We've tried all other types of Presidents, let's give a successful businessman an chance. TRUMP 2016!

    • Gil Favor says:

Beck is hung up on Christian Zionism, as is Cruz. This is the reason Hannity is so insanely "devoted" to Israel. I find Cruz noxious, obnoxious, and disgusting.

Agreed in that Trump will be attacked by the Dems and his own party. These factions cannot afford Trump going after the crooks in both parties. He will expose them and we all know what the penalty for that is.

The Dems and their handlers will pull every slimy trick to get the Bitch from Buchenwald into the White House.

  15. JOSEPH says:

I love how the media called Trumps finishing in second a "setback". I think it's a miracle that he finished in second because as any astute observer can tell, and if you know even a little bit about the man he is not religious at all. And, I'm not saying he has to be, but going into evangelical territory it's amazing he was able to muster up a record number of voters and finish second. That's the real story about Trump in Iowa in my opinion.

As far as America turning it around, I learned many years ago from Ayn Rand's objectivist philosophy that it is EDUCATION that is needed in order for that to happen. Ayn Rand's philosophy is being taught in more and more universities across America but it will take many more years before the intellectuals in the university accept it as the right philosophy and the become an objectivist intellectual. That will take a long long time. This is what has to change in the U.S. before there can be any real change in government. As far as I can tell, this is the KEY, this is when change towards full liberty in our world can happen. Ayn Rand was right. Until the ideas in the universities change, hence the need for more objectivist intellectuals, then change can happen. It's really anyone guess when that will happen, or even if it will. I hope so, but I'm not counting on it in my life time.
If Trump wins, and I think he will, let's hope he can do more good than bad. That's all I'm hoping for.

    • Richard Lee Van DV says:

Excellent comment, Sir! Yes, I stopped teaching on the college level in the 70s, and students then were already on the wane. Yes, Ayn Rand said it all in her Two Big Novels! They ought to be required reading in the sophmore year. Freshmen might not get it. Ms Rand was an excellent prognosticator! No doubt born to do the great work that she did. Very good commentary, Joseph!

  16. JVE says:

Trump's ascension in the polls really isn't a big surprise. People are fed up with the status quo, and it's finally reaching a head. Promises of 'hope & change' were answered – but only the latter half. People are desperate for someone to truly 'take the helm', and steer the country into the institution we once knew.

The real question is, are there enough of us who actually remember American greatness to outweigh the votes of the indoctrinated masses – many who see Sanders as the 'god that will fix the country'.

Many of the younger generation know little of how things 'used to be', and haven't been taught self-responsibility nor self-reliance. Many parents have 'helicoptered' them through their formative years, and the schools never taught them to think critically. They believe only what's been 'spoon-fed' to them throughout their lives – and unfortunately – rightly so. There's nothing they can compare their current lives to. They simply have no concept.

I recently watched a video posted, showing a group of Sanders supporters chanting about how great 'democratic socialism' would be. A reported asked several of them what 'socialism' actually was. None could answer intelligently.

Several said it was a 'war' against billionaires – and where shocked when they found out their demonstration was financed by Soros. Even then, they thought that if a billionaire was behind it, it must be good.

As much as I'd like to think the Trump 'shake-up' could truly change the course of politics and the 'club' in Washington, I doubt it will have much of an impact in the long term.

    But I can hope, dammit!

  17. Phil says:

What a great post! I have serious doubts about Trump but agree as well that if he can begin to breach the stranglehold of the GOP Establishment he will have performed an invaluable service.

Unfortunately, I see he and Cruz cancelling each other out and Marco Rubio skating into the void, either via primary vote or a brokered convention. He is one of the quickest witted speakers whom I have ever seen, and fairly brilliant and messaging for his target audiences (though the lies about immigration are hard for him to dance around). And I agree as well, he would sell his family into servitude if it could buy him the presidency.

That said, I could likely vote for any of those three – Trump, Cruz, or Rubio – if it comes down to it. It is what it is and we are in deep trouble. Even Rubio would have trouble lying his way out of at least killing Obamacare, given his statements so far.

But immigration really is front and center. I live in Texas and we have an absolute flood of legal and millions of illegals who have no clue about what a constitutional republic is, know nothing but socialism, and are about as likely to become freedom loving conservatives as I am to fly to the moon.

Jeez, as I write this, I realize we really are in deep, deep, probably irreversible, manure.

  18. 124andmore says:

Cruz won, not Trump. Cruz was fighting the Washington establishment .long before Trump became a candidate.
If Trump were elected, I believe that he would find a way to get "a significant chunk of the spoils". I think that Cruz is the closest we are ever going to get to another Madison, Adams, or Jefferson.

  19. theczech says:

Don't you think that any real and meaningful change in America, i.e., restoration of the American Dream [sic], must not be top down – rather from the bottom up? We the liberty loving people need to retake the reins of local school boards, city and county government, then state government. Perhaps then the central power, federal government can be better managed.

    • Robert Ringer RJR says:

From the bottom up would be a good start, but the radical left would fight it to the death.

      • theczech says:

I agree. However, incremental and local change can be a powerful thing; and achievable. Taking on the leviathan federal government seems so overwhelming. Perhaps this also helps explain the appeal of Donald Trump – that many see him as able to wrestle with that beast.

  20. Nasdaq7 says:

Ringer is a voice of sanity and clarity in a dark turbulent chaotic world. Whenever I hear someone attack free enterprise, entrepreneurship, self-reliance, free market capitalism, I think of Robert J Ringer and how utterly insane the world has become.
