Is a Freedom Revolution Possible?

As the clock winds down on what is supposed to be the end of Barack Obama’s valiant attempt to transform America from the world’s only superpower into a banana republic dictatorship, a couple of unforeseen events have occurred.

The first is the totally unexpected appearance of a brash, anti-establishment billionaire who pays homage to no living person or political party and appears to be totally devoid of fear. Contrasted to the bootlicking cowardice of the vast majority of politicians, particularly in the Republican Party, his lack of fear is both astonishing and refreshing.

The other unexpected event is the appearance of a strange new hybrid word spelled B-r-e-x-i-t — the referendum on whether Great Britain should or should not break away from the European Union. Of course, it was supposed to be a mere formality for Britons to vote against exiting, but, as with the Donald Trump phenomenon, the experts completely misjudged the anger and nationalistic fervor of voters. Thus, the polls were once again exposed as little more than propaganda devices.

The bottom line is that after centuries of bondage, everyday people are suddenly revolting against the political criminals who have controlled their lives. Why do so many politicians, including the most power hungry among them, still not understand the phenomenon that is unfolding before their very eyes? Perhaps the prison warden in the film Cool Hand Luke best summed up the disconnect between the corrupt establishment and the general populace when he drawled, “What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.”

While I wouldn’t want to get my hopes too high, I admit that for the first time in my life I see a freedom revolution as a real possibility. Not a probability, but a possibility.

Most of us, when we talk about revolution, think of an uprising from the left. Revolution tends to bring visions of the good old-fashioned kind of uprising that Marx and Engels wrote about in the nineteenth century and Lenin and Trotsky put into action early in the next century.

Since those heady days of the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917, left-wing revolutions have occurred with regularity throughout the world, with the people in whose name such revolutions have been fought always ending up much worse off than prior to the overthrow of their rulers. To their dismay, the low-information masses have repeatedly found that left-wing revolutions result in poverty, oppression, and a loss of freedom — not to mention torture and death.

Enter communications technology, which has not been kind to the power structure that has been so successful for so long in keeping the average citizen in check. Plain and simple, the Internet has made it possible for too many everyday folks to learn far too much truth in a relatively short period of time and, just as important, given them the ability to spread that truth worldwide virtually instantaneously.

Democratic slaveholders knew how important it was to keep slaves uneducated and uninformed. But today, in rapidly increasing numbers, the sharecroppers on Uncle Sam’s Plantation are becoming educated and more informed. Thus, it is possible that history may someday record that Barack Obama came along fifteen to twenty years too late to accomplish his goal of taking down America. But don’t count him out just yet. The man is superb at his craft.

In other words, let’s not get carried away with current events and prematurely celebrate the overthrow of our masters. Even if the masses succeed in kicking out of office the ruling establishment, it will all be in vain if they are not willing to go all the way. And by all the way, I mean that they must be willing to utter two words that are considered taboo by the media, politicians, and both low- and high-information voters: impeachment and treason.

In the U.S., my concern is that even if Trump becomes president, he will end up yielding to establishment pressure and let Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al escape punishment. In defending their crimes, one of the left’s favorite arguments is, “Oh, c’mon. That’s all in the past, so what difference does it make now? People want us to move on with fixing today’s problems.” It’s a very old trick, but a very cute one.

I’ve heard this kind of clever refrain from both Democrats and Republicans all my life, which is why politicians like Chris Dodd, Tom Daschle, and Barney Frank — to name just a few scoundrels who engaged in massive criminal activity during their stay in office — get off scot free, then peacefully live off their ill-gotten gains for the remainder of their lives.

If there is to be real change, people like this must to be punished to the full extent of the law. Taking the trouble to prosecute lawbreakers and mete out meaningful punishment is an important deterrent to criminal activity. If there are no consequences to criminal behaviour, what motivation do criminals have to change their ways?

But there’s another component to the hint of freedom revolution in the air: Trump and Brexit have reaffirmed something else that most of us already knew — that people are fed up with multiculturalism and want their countries back. They’re not impressed by the Con-Artist-in-Chief making self-serving pronouncements like “This is not who we are.” The arrogance of using the word “we” to speak on behalf of millions of Americans who totally disagree with him is beyond arrogance and narcissism; it’s downright nauseating.

As I have repeatedly pointed out, one of the biggest lies politicians and their media water-carriers have tried to stuff down our throats for decades is that “diversity is America’s greatest strength.” Specifically, they tell us that we must support so-called multiculturalism or we are racists.

Really? Well, I have news for you: Human beings are tribal by nature. They don’t want to live side by side with people who do not share their culture — which includes, above all, their values.

Note that I used the word culture rather than race. Personally, I don’t know anyone who evaluates people on superficial differences such as the amount of pigmentation in their skin. What the hell does the color of a person’s skin have to do with his worth as a human being? Absolutely nothing.

But a person’s cultural beliefs are an entirely different matter. America used to be a melting pot where people came here and willingly adopted American culture and values. That’s what made America a melting pot.

Today, however, thanks to the nefarious actions of globalists in both major parties, America has been intentionally Balkanized. Which is great for politicians, because when the populace is divided, it’s much easier to conquer.

The one little reality of life that true-believing globalists can’t seem to grasp is that every nation and every culture, like every individual, will always act in its own self-interest when differences arise. “We are the world” is a nice thought and all that, but neither ISIS nor economic reality are swayed by such radical-left gibberish.

Which is why, if there is to be a true freedom revolution, an important step would be for the United States to not only drop out of the world’s most corrupt political organization (repeat, political), the United Nations, but kick the entire den of thieves out of the country. Let the globalist criminals set up shop elsewhere to do their dirty work.

So, is it possible that we really are in the early stages of a freedom revolution? Again, yes, I think it’s possible … but doubtful.

I say doubtful because, notwithstanding the existence of the Internet, probably at least half the public is either too stupid (i.e., lacking in intelligence), too ignorant (i.e., lacking in knowledge), too prone to envy and avariciousness, too immoral, and/or too irrational to embrace the notion of living in a totally voluntary society in which the supreme law of the land makes it clear that force or violence, or the threat of force or violence, is illegal and is to be dealt with swiftly and harshly — especially in the case of politicians.

Having said all this, Americans should focus on first things first. And the first order of business is to stick a large finger in the tyranny dyke by making sure that no more anti-constitutionalist radicals will be appointed the Supreme Court, because a couple more of those would make everything else moot.

Something to think about long and hard between now and November 8.

  1. Smucko says:

Congrats, RJR. Best post in years!

  2. Spot on, Mr. Ringer. The incompetent at best/malevolent at worst political classes, from small town America all the way to D.C., need to be severely punished for their crimes against the Constitution, the taxpayer, national security, cultural harmony, etc etc., or the downward spiral this nation and our national culture is on will never be halted, much less reversed. Personally I don't think imprisonment is enough of a deterrent, Club Fed isn't nearly harsh enough to be a just penalty for Treason. After being convicted by a jury with all due process, etc., the only appropriate punishment is capital.

  3. Heidi McCauley says:

This is perfect, Mr. Ringer. I would suggest that Donald Trump – with your permission – use this as one of his speeches. It says it all, and caps it all with the last paragraph re the supreme court.
Thank you for another brilliant column.

  4. David says:

    Simply awesome!

  5. Robert, this is the best article that you have ever written. It is Brilliant! And No B.S. 🙂

  6. steve says:

    Three words. RINGER FOR PRESIDENT!

  7. Jim Hallett says:

You last comment RE: the Supreme Court brings to mind an ugly rumor I heard that Ovomit might actually be one of those to sit on the Court, were Hildabeast to win in November! THAT is a very scary thought!! While Brexit and the Trump phenomenon are encouraging to those of us with an anarcho-libertarian bent, I share your doubts about a real revolution taking place where a FREE market, voluntary society exists. People have been conditioned by the forced schooling establishment, media and criminal politicians to prefer "free lunches", and to resent anyone with more than they have, and to believe it is right to control others, especially when it is in the best interest of all – an absurd notion that is contrived by lying cons like Hildabeast and other "progressive" scum, as if they know what that interest is, or that there is any single interest that is best for all. Doug Casey has always talked about phyles – groups of people with shared values – wanting to associate with like-minded folks, and I think he is absolutely right, since many of those who call themselves "American" have no shared value system with moi, and I would rather associate with a libertarian Chilean, Uruguayan or New Zealander than ANY deceived, coercive "progressive" that seems to dominate the power structure today in Amerika.

    • Regarding Ohole as a member of the Supreme Court. .. after a trick or two, he might end up not waking up with his face under a pillow like a recent judge. "Natural causes", the Press said, then little more was said after that. Why? I wonder. My concern/worry is getting Ohole to actually take his leave from the Presidency. I don't claim to be astute in political matters, but I try to keep up the best I can. And I wonder why about many things.I value reading comments such as yours.

      • Jim Hallett says:

Scalia was a strict Constitutionalist so the progressives had to get rid of him, but with Ovomit, he is one of them. I, too, feel that it is possible he will serve a 3rd term, as part of some "national emergency" fraud (maybe Hildabeast being indicted will be that kind of emergency, as if any moral person would give one hoot about her and her self-inflicted woes). I surely don't jump at any "conspiracy theory" that floats about, but when the facts as presented are easily refuted, I research deeper to find them or at least challenge the accepted thesis ( la JFK, RFK, MLK assassinations, OKC bombing, 911 "attacks", Boston Marathon bombing, et al.), where I do not KNOW the facts – just that the official story is obviously false.

        • Shandor says:

There will be no third term for this monster, because The People would then literally…wait for it…throw off this corrupt government. We would literally have military patriots physically removing the power grabbers and convening Congress to vote a proper successor into place. Our armed forces are not total puppets yet!

  8. Mary says:

    Outstanding article- spot on!!

  9. Unfortunately, the ruling class will never exact more than token punishment on their peers for fear that they may be next.

  10. Avery Horton says:

"“What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.” That's not what the Captain said. The correct quote is "
“What we’ve got here is failure to communicate.” Towards the end of the movie Luke mocked the captain by saying “What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.” .

I know it may be splitting hairs but COOL HAND LUKE is my favorite movie of all time.

    • Robert Ringer RJR says:

Believe it or not, I'm aware of the exact quote, but I put in the "a" because most people would think the actual quote is incorrect. I sometimes invoke writer's prerogative. But thanks for the feedback anyway.

  11. Lee says:

Robert, your article “Is a Freedom Revolution Possible? Excellent! I have been a subscriber of your articles for a period of time. I read them as I believe you are a true Journalist and write of the truth. Is a Freedom Revolution Possible? I believe it has started seems people are rearing up in various ways to the corruption in place. You have exposed a truth and I hope this gets to the eyes of the voters. I fear the censors’ in place by the corruption that is controlling many things in our country will bury it.
I agree with Heidi McCauley, It would be interesting if Donald Trump communicated your article. As stated in the movie Braveheart, FREEDOM… It can inspire.

    • Shandor says:

You've said everything I wanted to say, so add my vote to having Trump hire Robert to help with speeches!

  12. Yes, Mr. Ringer has written an especially searching philosophical essay, one of his very best of any I've read. I'm always in a state of waiting, hoping to see a new Ringer essay in my mailbox. Thank you, Sir, for helping people, us, think! This one is a masterpiece!

  13. GGM says:

Totally agree with your comment on the misuse of the term "racist" when one is really objecting to cultural beliefs. Race refers to a person's physical attributes and ancestry which cannot be changed. Cultural beliefs certainly can. The term "racist" is usually deliberately misused to frighten a person into silence. I suggest using the term "culturalist" instead when referring to someone speaking of cultural beliefs and practices.

  14. Mic says:

Absolutely incredible article! Outside of your book on the American Dream, which I read before you published the new version, this one of your best pieces I have read. Fantastic and I hope dead on.

  15. Rocketman says:

That is why I'm supporting the Libertarian Party so strongly, even though Johnson and Weld wouldn't be my picks to want to change things back to freedom. I would have much preferred an Austin Peterson for president and Jon McAfee for VP. They would have gotten a dialogue going and been able to make the average person understand the superiority of our ideas.

    • Hollivan says:

McAfee is fabulous. Austin has less diplomacy as Trump, somehow. Johnson just doesn't really understand this fact that we really are under attack by Islam. What I mean by that is, even though neither of the other two will say it, they know it. One wants us to be conquered, one does not. Johnson just doesn't convey to me that he understands Islam. He thinks it's our policies that have poked them. And that's too bad. I've voted straight ticket libertarian for 2 cycles but I can't this time.

  16. larajf says:

I am more hopeful as well after Brexit and seeing people rally behind Trump. And like you, I don't know anyone who judges people based on skin pigment or eye shape….it boils down to "Are they an asshole or would I like to spend time with them." And unfortunately, Silicon Valley has filled up with assholes, sigh. I feel like I'm being forced out of my own home 🙂

  17. Robby Bonfire says:

After Cuba, you would think there would never again have been a left wing revolution.

    • Jean says:

Oh, but American leftists believe THEY are the anointed ones who will do Communism right! They don't understand that it's the system that is a failure – and the only "right" way to do it is just as Stalin, Mao, Castro and Chavez have done.

  18. Steven Lamoureaux says:

Hope we can put up with 6 more months of Obama can't wait to trump gets in there and things actually get done and we make America great again ? Obama has been the worst president in my lifetime

  19. Steven Lamoureaux says:

Just wondering if there's any way we could cut Obama's time short and not let him finish the presidency that be funny as hell and a great thing

  20. LENSOL says:

I HAVE ONE QUESTION. IS THE FREEDOM REVOLUTION GOING TO BE A HOT ONE? THE FEDS ARE STOCKPILING A LOT OF SMALL ARMS WEAPONS AND AMMO ACCORDING TO THE SOCIAL MEDIA.

  21. Rock Roach says:

Well my post comes aft er another terror attack at the airport in Istanbul,Turkey. And just like a trained seal a cnn
reporter came on and replied," This is the Isis response to the US led coalition that has led to the takeover of Faluji(spelling).Since Isis has lost so much ground, they are now going on the outside for their terror agenda".
US coalition attacking Isis? – After our last episode with terror ,our president was seen riding a bycycle in a national park promoting climate change. And the rest of you know ,I am not making this up!
Ther was the trip to Cuba (where Fidel told him to keep his you know what in the usa ,the dancing in Argentina while Rome burned(I mean Brussels), and the apology tour to Japan. What a pathetic leader and establishment that we have.

  22. Serge says:

B.O. turns my stomach. " This is not who we are. " It should be. " Let's get back to who we used to be", when Americans swiftly spoke out against crooked and criminal politicians. Once decent politicians come in they can take quick action against all aggression on the U. S. And then we have a chance of getting the U. S. back.

  23. Birddog says:

The Blues sisters aren't they cute…⬇

  24. JOSEPH says:

    GREAT ARTICLE.

Now, you said, "In the U.S., my concern is that even if Trump becomes president, he will end up yielding to establishment pressure and let Hillary, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, et al escape punishment."

I strongly believe that Trump will not yield to the establishment. Trump will do what he thinks he has to do. I will bet on it.

But, anyhow, this was a very good article.

  25. I am happy that both the points you make are happening in India right now after over 60 years of independence:
Punishing the guilty politicians and a strong nationalistic, culture based fervor.

  26. Mr. Ringer, this is absolutely amazing! I couldn't possibly agree more with every single word. I agree with Heidi McCauley, this could be great for Mr. Trump to use. However, the people in this country who fit into one or more of the catagories described in your 3rd to the last paragraph, sit on their butts and provide NO resistence against the evil elements. Since they won't get involved, they can't be bothered with Mr. Trump's proposed cure for the cancerlike disease that is very effectively destroying the very way of life that our military men & women continue to fight to preserve… so I'm scared to death that these fools will either obstain or vote for the bitch and the ONLY chance we have to survive as "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" will be gone forever 🙁

  27. Perry Feser says:

Brilliant! Certainly one of the best articles you have ever posted. I hope this trend goes beyond "possible" into "strong probability"!

  28. Reality Seeker says:

"So, is it possible that we really are in the early stages of a freedom revolution? Again, yes, I think it’s possible … but doubtful."

    Doubtful, indeed.

"What we have here is a failure" of collectivism. Because of this abject failure the ignorant masses are revolting; not because for their love of freedom ( they, in fact, don't really even understand freedom any more than they understand free-market capitalism). This is apparent because it is they who elected the collectivists in the first place.

It is they who voted for collectivism. It is they who love collectivism. It is they who want collectivism. It is they who'll demand a COLLECTIVIST NEW DEAL. And they'll get it ….. good and hard.

America will NEVER go back to being a free republic. There will never be another revolutionary war like the first American War. Never……… Americans, if they're lucky, will get Super Collectivism. What is that? Super Collectivism is a super state, super economy, super power, super technocracy all rolled into one and run by a super leader — a leader like one of a dozen found somewhere back in time circa ancient Rome. There were over a dozen Roman Caesars who greatly increased the quality of life for Rome's citizens, and history could repeat for America. On the other hand, America could just easily enter a Dark Age. The final outcome depends on numerous socioeconomic factors. And it depends on what decisions the elites make regarding the unraveling of the EU. A dew wrong decisions at this point and the entire regions ends up in a conflagration.

Whatever happens, Euroland is unraveling. It may take years, but the EU is finished. The EU hit its peak in 1999, it's been travelling the last mile on the Road to Serfdom ever since. When the EU finally hits the end of the road, I wouldn't want to be living there.

  29. Stefan F says:

Paraphrasing: …half the public is either too stupid, too ignorant, too envious, too immoral or irrational to embrace a free society…

That high-powered statement gets right to the heart of the matter regarding the current state of affairs (csoa).

Robert hints of the small possibility of a freedom revolution, but without some catalyst I just don’t see how it’s possible. I’ve stated before that even if the country were to populate the White House & Congress with Ron Paul clones we would still have our work cut out for us. And since the csoa guarantees this will not happen, isn’t Robert giving us false hope?

I think not. After all, didn’t the Berlin Wall fall, the Great Depression end, and many diseases were cured? Anything’s possible. But without some means to drive the parasites off the govt dole that would force them to acquiesce and stop voting the socialist party (the demopublican party), the change we’re looking for ain’t happening. So what’s it going to take? Go ahead, I’ll wait…tic…tic…tic. Bzzzt.

Answer: A bankrupt Uncle Sammy. You see, economic chaos has a way of, well, changing things. And when a broke U.S. Govt can’t pay its bills we will surely see some chaos. And change. Hopefully, the right change. Oh yes, you’d better hold your breath because we could get the wrong change.
But let’s hope for the best.

The first sign to watch for will be when the current president (whoever it is) addresses the nation to announce small payment cuts in Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps, Welfare, etc, because, it seems, Uncle has run low on funding. And then next month he does it again. And then again. And again. That’s when the fun begins and you can expect the change we’ve been waiting for.

The good news is it’s inevitable. Change is coming. The potential bad news is…well, you know.

Great article! However I need some clarification, when you stated we need to put a finger in the tyranny dyke, were you referring to Hillary Clinton?

  32. Kaizen says:

This is a particularly interesting article and I share much of RR's opinion (s). As a Brit and just having been through BREXIT, the LEAVE majority swung the vote on one issue……immigration. RR's article encapsulates entirely why the majority voted the way they did. Oh! sure, after the event, there was and still is considerable 'buyers remorse. After all , not only BREXIT now but the demise of a prime minister too and the possible re-run of a Scottish exit from the UK! Such fun now occurring in UK politics as there is in US politics. And so many parallels currently between the political shenanigans of both nations. You know what, I think the UK should become the 51st State of the US. Then both nations could have some real political fun and games!

    • Robert Ringer RJR says:

How about the U.S. becoming a British colony again? We're not doing very well on our own anymore. Majority rule has evolved into a lawless nation.

    • Hollivan says:

You're going to be fine. You'll see. There will be TWO other countries to leave. The chaos that is coming would have happened anyway. But at least with this vote you can have the satisfaction of knowing that you made a lot of people freak out. They did NOT see this coming and they were all so smug. They deserved every emergency trip to the loo they got. Lol

      • Kaizen says:

Wow Hollivan…………really! How do you know? Two more leaving ?? Well, that's truly spooky! And I thought that it was only the US and UK that are have a fun time politically!

        • Hollivan says:

It's prophesy. As I look at it now, it looks like a lot more. The EU is the beast with 7 heads and 10 horns with a harlot on it. The harlot represents Rome. The whole image is reunification of Rome. So I think if you go back to a Roman empire map, you'll see what the EU will ultimately be. It should be Mediterranean in the end. And Rome will be the seat again.

Britain has a very special roll. God bless and protect us. It's gonna be a ride.

          • Kaizen says:

Now you've really got me buzzin' Hollivan! But I don't understand your simile between the EU with Rome at its core and the Roman Empire of old. According to your prophesy, what is the ultimate end-game? Surely not every EU member state 'owned' by Rome/Italy??! I think you'll find that Mrs Merkel will have something to say about that! So I guess what I'm saying to you now is that your credibility has been really s t r e t c h e d !

          • Hollivan says:

            Lol
I don't expect Germany to remain. Germany and England are 2 of the missing heads. See, the EU was conceived by a handful of Roman Catholics. Germany had led the world into 2 wars and the idea was to keep Germany from another psychotic outburst. Another domination by the Germans. As you can see, once again these same countries are being dominated by Germany – but semi willingly. The curvature of a banana is regulated by Brussels.

Germany is Assyria in the Bible. You can read up. Germany is very special indeed. Lol

  33. Hollivan says:

    Wow!

Finally I find someone who understands what culture actually is. Multiculturalism has never been part of this country. We have always been a nation of immigrants but everyone that came here had the same culture, at the very least internally and wanted to be in a nation with THAT culture. The culture of the USA is very basic. It is – self reliance and confidence in ability to govern their own daily lives, hard work, God, family. The color or STYLE is irrelevant and is as "diverse" as we need to be.

I only find a few cultures on earth that are incompatible with ours. But they ARE incompatible. I guess 2, really. The culture of collectivism, which is socialism/communism and Isllamism. I don't want an Irish communist (if there is such a thing) bringing his culture here any less than I don't want Islam to bring it's culture here. It's not color or style. It's the broken and cancerous culture of dominance of thought.

I know I'm late, but I'm so glad I found you!
