Are the Polls Wrong Again?

In my recent article titled “The Better What?” I speculated that the Dirty Dems are almost certainly going to be overwhelmingly defeated in the 2018 midterms.  However, I added the caveat that the only two things that can prevent a Republican landslide victory is too much Donald Trump chaos or the anti-Trump Republicans in Congress succeeding in stopping his agenda.

Since that article was published, the Internet and FNM have become so radioactive with stories about Trump’s demise that I felt it was important to go into this topic in more detail.  The clincher came when Laura Ingraham was talking to some dunderhead Democratic operative (don’t even know his name), and at one point, in trying to bolster his view that Donald Trump’s presidency was all but over, he sneeringly said that even Republican intellectuals like Charles Krauthammer and Bill Kristol have turned against him.

No, I’m not kidding.  He really said that.  Is the man so stupid, so out of touch with reality, so filled with hatred that he actually believes that those wildly cheering Trump supporters at his recent West Virginia rally give a hoot about what Charles Krauthammer and Bill Kristol think?

Alert the media:  It’s precisely because of the existence of people like Krauthammer and Kristol that millions of people voted for Trump.  Their enthusiastic support makes it clear that draining the swamp is not just a catchphrase to them.  On the contrary, they’re deadly serious it.

Listening to desperation statements like the Republican intellectuals comment, coupled with all the misleading polls (more on those in a moment) that are being shoved in our faces on a daily basis, has actually strengthened my suspicion that not only are Republicans not going to lose in the 2018 midterms, they’re going to win in a tidal wave fashion.

Nevertheless, as I said in my previous article, because of those same two factors I alluded to, I can’t give a 100 percent assurance that it’s going to happen.  That said, let’s take another look at the two factors that could stop a Republican tidal wave.

Again, the first is Trump himself.  That’s right, Donald Trump is the only person in the world who can stop Donald Trump.  I don’t need to elaborate on Trump’s foibles, since everyone on the planet is intimately familiar with them.  If the man didn’t go out of his way to hurt himself, I honestly believe even the fake polls would have him at a better than 50 percent approval rating.

The other factor that’s a threat, not only to Trump but to the entire Republican Party, is the GOP establishment that is absolutely committed to taking him down — yes, even if it means destroying the Republican Party by losing the House and Senate in 2018 and the presidency in 2020.  I have absolutely no doubts that Democratic-loving anti-Trumpers like Richard Burr, Jeff Flake, and Thom Tillis are willing to lose their own Senate seats if that’s what it takes to destroy the president.

Okay, let’s put these two threats on the back burner for now and take a closer look at what’s really happening with the polls.  The biggest factor that wishful-thinking pollsters are purposely ignoring is that, to the Dirty Dems’ dismay, we still elect presidents via the electoral college system.

That being the case, when Horrible Hillary got 4 million more votes than Trump in California, what it actually meant was:  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!  It’s much like baseball, a game in which a ten-run win is worth no more than a one-run win.  Thus, whether you win by one vote or 4 million votes in California, you still get the same number of electoral votes — 55.  In other words, just about all of those 4 million excess votes Hillary captured were wasted.

The Founding Fathers were prescient, indeed, in that they seem to have anticipated the emergence of a rogue state like California when they determined that elections should be decided by the electoral college.  As the Dirty Dems discovered in 2016, people in Wyoming, Kansas, Texas, et al have no interest in being controlled by the social justice champions who run California, New York, Illinois, or any of the other blue states whose leaders are obsessed with racism, LGBT rights, nonexistent global warming, and redistribution-of-wealth schemes, and it’s the electoral college that protects them from such tyranny.

Keeping this in mind, the more I read about Trump’s demise, the more certain I am that the 2018 midterms are going to produce a tidal wave of victories for the GOP.  This, despite the fact that I doubt the White House soap opera will completely disappear over the next 14 months.

In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see General Kelly out the door (by his own hand or Trump’s), because he may try to cramp DT’s style too much.  Steve Bannon and H.R. McMaster are vulnerable as well.  And while he’s at it, I wish Trump would send his daughter and son-in-law back to New York.  Not only are they both liberals, they also provide juicy targets for the FNM.

In any event, even if the shakeups continue, it will have no effect on Trump’s supporters, so don’t be fooled by the FNM and the misleading polls.  Their constant drum-beating makes me suspect they’re actually terrified.  It strikes me as a classic case of “The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”

In addition, all kinds of good things are happening for Republicans that the FNM is ignoring.  Perhaps the biggest of these is when West Virginia’s Democratic governor Jim Justice announced, at a Trump campaign event in his home state, that he is switching his allegiance to the Republican party.  It was an absolute bombshell, yet the FNM virtually ignored it.  When a governor in your party jumps ship, what does it tell you about the party’s fragility?  Trust me, it has the Dirty Dems panicked.

I have to believe that Trump also has people pressuring West Virginia’s Joe Manchin to follow Governor Justice’s lead and switch parties.  Should that come about, it would be another huge blow to the Dirty Dems, because, while hapless Mitch McConnell is talking about moving on and shoring up Obamacare, the fact is that Joe Manchin could become the 50th vote needed to repeal it.  (Sorry about that John McCain, but your vengeful No vote could end up not being enough to stop the Trump Train after all.)

Another problem on the horizon for the Dirty Dems is the mounting discomfort for the grand old lady of American Indian folklore, Pocahontas.  While she was blustering to her base that “You haven’t seen nasty yet,” a real Indian by the name of V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai suddenly entered the picture by announcing he is challenging her for her Senate seat in 2018.

Mr. Ayyadurai, a Ph.D. from MIT, is a self-described “real Indian” who is hoping to win the Republican nomination in Massachusetts and run against “the fake Indian.”  Even if he doesn’t win in such Radical Left political territory, he could sure make life embarrassing for Pocahontas and the Dirty Dems.

Also, pro-Trumpers are finally stepping up to the plate and taking it to the enemy from within.  Hedge fund owner and Trump ally Robert Mercer is donating $300,000 to support a primary opponent running against Trump hater Jeff Flake in Arizona.  In Nevada, another Trump hater, Dean Heller, is being targeted by rabid Trump supporter Jerry Tarkanian, son of UNLV’s legendary basketball coach, Jerry Tarkanian.

If you look at the number of seats the Dirty Dems have to defend in red states alone, it’s easy to see how Republicans could reach a 60-seat majority — or more — in the Senate and also add seats in the House.

Finally, as I have previously pointed out, even if Trump’s favorability numbers are real, they’re probably good enough to get him reelected in 2020, because Bernie Sanders might just start a new party and split the Democratic vote.  Or, if Bernie actually secured the Democratic nomination, it would be an automatic loss for the Dirty Dems.

Finally, if Trump is successful in getting Mitch McConnell off his ass and gets Obamacare repealed and big tax cuts passed, his real favorability ratings could rise to the area of 50 percent.  So the way I see it, it’s Trump’s game to lose, because, now that I think about it, I don’t believe his wimpy internal enemies can withstand the pushback from his supporters.

In summation, don’t be misled by the FNM and the shaky poll numbers that show Trump and the Republicans losing ground.  It’s hogwash, plain and simple.

If the economy worsens, both Trump and the GOP have got a problem in 2018…

I fully expect the upcoming monetary crisis — which is somewhere just over the horizon — will be a major tipping point in the global economy. As I said before, when Bitcoin was exchanging on the market for a few hundred dollars, the currency crisis, which, by the way includes tens of trillions in bonds, is going to be the crisis that ignites the Great Conflagration —- something far worse than the Great Depression.

Bitcoin is actually a sign — like tulips were during the Dutch Golden Age — of a Crack-up Boom the likes of which has no equal. And US bonds! That bubble is a monster waiting to crush, kill and destroy whoever stands in its path — including Trump… Herbert Hoover was far, far more popular and far and away a better man in every way than Trump, but when a real economic crisis hits, the ignorant masses don't care who you are or what you stand for or your accomplishments.

US Bonds, in case it has escaped your notice, are not trading on the world markets like debt. Bonds currently trade like a currency that pays interest. The significance of this is actually something that's never reported and probably only understood by one in a hundred thousand people. But suffice to say that when US bonds breakdown the entire world monetary system is going to collapse…. Can Trump ( or any political party for that matter) withstand that kind of a crisis?

So, in the final analysis the continuation of the of "printing press economy" is what shall determine who remains in power or not… War, of course, is also a deciding factor. Trump better not start something with somebody which ends up anything but a decisive victory for the American Empire..

Well said! I would also add to the list Kid Rock who is running for the Michigan Senate seat of Debby Not-very-bright. He's already out in the lead and is doing voter sign up drives at his concerts!
If however the neo-cons manage to force Trump out though I see millions of Americans not even bothering to go to the polls in 2018 which will throw the races to the Democrats by default.

    • Jim Hallett says:

The REAL problem is that, despite the fact the fundamentals of the world economy are VERY SHAKY, the world economy is manipulated. With immoral scum like George Soros and his army of banksters, globalist corporate types such as Bezos, Zuckerface et al, and the other int'l elites who try to hide in secrecy but pull many strings to get the chaos they want. DT or any other U.S. Prez is a helpless pawn in such nefarious schemes. These folks HATE Donald Trump, which is all the more reason they will pull their shenanigans whenever and wherever they feel it will have the most affect. The lamestream media liars here are always wrong and full of b.s., so I don't put much stock in their polls or influence, despite its nauseating repetition. The real danger is PIGS like Soros!!! The Republicans will likely gain seats in 2018 unless the collapse occurs prior to 11/18, but it might amount to "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!"

      • RealitySeeker says:

Throughout thousands of years of history economies have always been subject to manipulation, e.g., be it palace economies or printing economies. And those manipulative forces do damage society by running contrary to free-market price discovery; however, the real danger is when empires come to an end because confidence completely breaks down by, first, a market panic, then market capitulation without a V-shaped recovery, which, in turn, results in a total loss of faith in whoever elite are in charge of government; hyper-inflation ensues, banks fail, needless wars are started, rationing of goods and services, food shortage, internal riots and lastly a complete currency collapse.

So far, the America Empire has recovered from one crisis after the other, e.g., Continental Dollar, Civil War, Great Depression, a series of useless presidents: Jimmy Carter, Bush 1 and 2, Obama… At times it looked like the end, but, like Rome, the American Empire recovered. Yet, as resilient as the Empire is the day shall arrive ( nobody really knows when) when the American Empire can no longer maintain its system of Calories & Circus & Combat & Currency. Then, let me tell ya, the SHTF in unimaginable quantity; and whoever is president is going to be covered in excrement….

Pray that it's not President Trump who ends up smelling like shit…

I honestly believe that the FNM is desperately trying to do a number of the public's mind in attempting to bring down President Trump. To paraphrase a former historical dictator, the more a lie is repeated, the more likely people are to believe it! And then after a while, the masses are mimicing all the FNM lies! Scarey, isn't it? The FNM is working tirelessly nonstop 24/7 looking for hairline weakness cracks in the pro-Trump movement as their "evidence" in a demise of President Trump. My one big concern though is history has a tendency to repeat itself in that when the congressional midterms come around, the out-party always takes power, especially as they did in Slick Willie's term and Hussein's term (yet both got re-elected two years later). All of this remains to be seen. Strange days are yet to come! We are in for exciting times!

My choice for the Dirty Dem nomination in 2020 is none other than Pocahontas. I would love to see The Donald kick her ever loving ass up in-between her ears, feathers and all, which she so rightfully deserves!

    • Rick G says:

Can you possibly imagine a matchup between The Donald and Pocahontas? Hell would hath no fury were this to occur. This would be the biggest hellcat fight of the century! And, believe me, there is nothing like a good cat fight! Lols!

  4. Blank Reg says:

Read an interesting study the other day, indicating the GOP could pick up 5 additional Senate seats from the Dirty Dems next year. That would make that chamber "McCain proof".

Apparently also, hundreds of previously uninvolved Dems are standing up to run for Congress next year. The GOP needs to promote the same thing – in particular, strong, true-conservative primary challengers against all the RINOs. If we can keep Congress and get rid of the RINOs too, we'll be unbeatable at that point.

  5. Charlie Goffnett says:

Robert, I have a better idea than draining the swamp… I believe Trump has to go "Big Game Hunting".
And the target in mind is RINO'S…He needs to get an elephant gun and take down the fake conservatives…. Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, John McCain, ….you know the cast of repuke progressives.
Then, put a conservative into the leadership positions in the Congress who control the campaign $$$ and run true conservatives vs. these RINO'S. and get rid of them…McCpnnell has given $8 million to one of his own RINO'S running for Jeff Sessions open spot in that upcoming special election… He needs to be stopped and stopped now…

I hope you're right, RJR. This was good news to read.

  8. IHeartDagney says:

Isn't it interesting how during 8 years of Obama there was absolutely NO fight from the republicans, except to NOT vote for Obamacare, but always such COOPERATION when it came to STEALING more wealth from Americans by raising budget limitations. Now, the ever COURAGEOUS republicans have found their ire and put a stop to everything they can that will HELP Americans because it is being proposed by Donald J. Trump. Yes, to me this is very interesting (not to mention causing utter disgust).

I'm not so sure the republicans will be able to hold onto their majorities if they don't start acting like they care what happens to WE THE PEOPLE. After all, if they do lose their majorities, impeachment of Trump will be that much easier, won't it?

The only way they can keep these majorities, I'm thinking, is if we get really good people primarying the traitors. McCain the immature, insecure, traitorous NON-hero, crash and burn Forrestal weasel is no longer a factor due to his medical condition. I don't really care if in the 1960's he committed himself well at the Hanoi Hilton. Rumors abound that that's a total LIE, too. Smoke can equal fire. He's a disgrace now and has been for at least two decades. Couldn't win against a Marxist even with the great, very attractive, and strongly conservative Alaska Governor as a running mate. Good riddance! Maybe the good Doctor Ward will win the primary to replace him once his last term plays out. But, it might be too late for Trump at that point.

  9. SteveM says:

    1. Being anti-Trump doesn't mean you're pro-Democrat. It means you're a Republican with common sense, that you won't eat the bulls*** that your fellow party members seem to enjoy eating, you have self-respect, and a shred of decency.

    2. Make no mistake; there will eventually be a healthcare plan we can all learn to live with. The Republicans who have voted no have clearly demonstrated that they put public interest first, and worry about their re-election second. They won't rush something to Trump's desk just so he can check it off of his to-do list. Then again, they had 7 years to come up with a better plan – you can't blame the Democrats anymore.

    • Chris says:

      1. You're right. Being anti-Trump doesn't mean you're pro-Democrat. It means you're pro-Establishment. There is very little difference between the parties if you look at how they govern when in power. They talk a big contrarian game, but govern mostly the same.
      2. No, we already have a healthcare plan that we WILL have to live with. The establishment Republicans got whatever it was that they wanted in Obamacare, only tried to repeal it when they knew they couldn't repeal it, and refuse to do anything with it now. If they wanted something different, they would have proposed that sometime in the last 8 years.

  10. joesugar says:

If the Republican establishment really wishes to succeed the first thing they need to realize is they didn't win the last election as much as come along for the ride. There are plenty of people out here to only voted at all in the last election because of Donald Trump and can just as easily sit out the next one.

My personal belief is Donald Trump's election was an indication of what I'll call the silent Pragmatist party, composed of individuals who are interested in doing what works rather than conforming to party dogma. This is what I think really scares both the Republican and Democrat establishment, since it would not bode well for either of them.
